The announcers are lying when they say that Gobert "headlocked" Thompson. Gobert had one arm under Klay's armpit, do they think that's a French-headlock? McDaniels stepped back, Conley and KAT were quickly between him and Klay, but Klay was still trying to go towards McDaniels. And Draymond jumped to grab Gobert by the neck, which is super dangerous.

That's called a standing rear-naked choke. It's not a complete setup as the left hand was not locked in but the right hand chocking the neck was still right there from behind. Watch Demian Maia's UFC highlights.

Gobert did not have Klay in a headlock, whereas Draymond's intention was clear. That's a great example of false equivalence, not to mention bias. At most, Gobert was trying to pull Klay away from McDaniels by pulling him (with one arm) by the upper chest. Mind you, I say this as a Warriors' fan. Klay did grab McDaniels first, on the box out, though it's a fairly normal NBA technique. The problem was that he wouldn't let go after McDaniels grabbed back. I think the Warriors are frustrated after their losing spree.

from draymonds angle that looks like a headlock, and klay looked uncomfortable by rudys hold and was immediately turning around to get out of it. so klay took it as hostile as well. and rudy was using 2 arms, don’t act dumb. regardless rudy should’ve never touched klay, he should’ve grabbed his own teammate (and he was closer to mcdaniels too). also klay did let go of mcdaniels around the 3pt line and was taking off running. then he grabbed mcdaniels again bc HE wouldn’t let go of him.
