In basketball, the whole team has to play good. You can't rely on a few individuals. Look at the Brooklyn nets, when KD and Kyrie aren't good then they lose.

Ivan Stanojevic Curry, Klay, Poole, Wiggins are avereging 91 points this series. Curry and Klay can score 30 every game if needed. Nuggets had a lucky win. Prior to game 4, they were avereging 105 PPG. Warriors were avereging 120+ PPG. Nuggets scored 20+ above their average. Nuggets won't score like that again while Warriors will.

Of course they are. Everybody knows they win the series, Denver just needed to win a game and they did. I would be surprised if game 5 is crazy competitive. Denver gave it their all tonight and still barely won with GSW playing their worst game by far.

Despite the Warrior's struggles tonight, I can guarantee that this wasn't about their play. This was about the NBA wanting to extend the series to protect and buff their profit margins. More games in a series means more views. More views means more revenue. Profits over the game's integrity. That's the NBA's game within the game now.

Ex ref Tim donaghy wrote a book on game fixing and shaving points, he’s an ex nba ref. So many shocking calls and biased decisions in this game to necessitate more games in this series. Tv revenue, ad revenue, gate revenue etc, it’s a business. Sometimes nba refs are like the Russian figure skating judge in the olympics, it’s a joke honestly. Even whistles, Stefan doesn’t shoot his worse game from the line in his career, and it’s a chalked on Win. It’s over in 5. I’m sure Joe Lacob and the warriors ownership won’t complain about another home game at 965$ average ticket price in sole ass San Francisco chase arena.

Theyre not even phased by this loss. They had two teams to worry about at the beginning of the season [wcf], the suns and the lakers, lakers did not make the playoffs and suns are struggling without DB. These guys are definitely feeling confident.

They’re not going to lose a lot of fans because fans of the team know that A. He is on restricted minutes and B. What they’ve been doing has been working. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. It didn’t work tonight but Steph being on the bench wasn’t at all the reason we lost today. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be happy to see him starting again but it’s not like there aren’t good reasons they’re doing this.

How is winning 1 of 2 "the goal"? that's just winning a 50/50 chance. A "goal" is winning Every Game. (or enough to win the series & get a rest). They're a good team - when they're healthy. They're missing 2 main players....so they're not THAT good.

In the playoffs the goal is to defend home court if you are the higher seed. They technically don’t even need game 3 and game 4 to do that. They got 1 so it’s a bonus.

Clearly you know nothing about playoff basketball. Obviously you want to win every game but that’s not how it works in reality. If you have homecourt advantage, you obviously expect to win both games at home and if you’re the road team, your goal is to try to steal one of those 2 games on the road. Then if your the higher seed after winning the first 2 games at home, you’re goal is to win one of the first 2 games on the road. Point is, there’s a lot that goes into playoff basketball. You clearly don’t understand that given how simple minded you are. It’s not that simple, it’s a lot harder than it seems.

Denver shot 36 free throws. I also fail to see how him saying that they got a lot of free throws implies that they didn’t get any free throws. Also, the issue here isn’t how many free throws were called anyway, it’s that a lot of the foils were extremely soft fouls in key moments, something you normally don’t see in the playoffs. You don’t have to be a basketball genius to notice that the fouls being called in this game were odd at times…

I think it's less about earning pay and more about doing whatever it takes to extend the series so that there are more games for viewers to tune into which ears more revenue for the NBA. Sweeps aren't good for their profit margins.
