But within those two years they’d have used up their remaining draft picks and tried to make a good team for a championship. Once Lebron leaves the team would be trash for the foreseeable future. If he leaves now then they’ll be out of contention immediately. So either they accept the fate of an upcoming full rebuild or draft bronny to keep bron but he’ll only still have a like 3 years with good play anyway.
