11 жыл бұрынTrack 2 from Drcarlsonalbion's 2012 album, "La Strega And The Cunning Man In The Smoke," which is part of Southern Records' "Latitude Sessions." An excerpt from an article written by John Doran, featured on The Quietus, reads
"Latitudes was founded in 2005 by Southern label boss Allison Schnackenberg. It is an imprint on the venerable UK independent which was set up by Crass associate and legendary sound engineer John Loder in 1992. The eight year old label has one primary function: to encourage acts to record "sessions"; that noble exercise in recording a small set of songs quickly and without fuss in the studio that acts as a snapshot of where a band or artist is on that particular day."
Drcarlsonalbion is the latest musical brainchild of Dylan Carlson, founding member of Seattle-based instrumental-minimilast-drone legends, Earth.
This track, "The Faery Round," is Carlson's rendition of a traditional English song by the Elizabethan composer, Anthony Holborne.

I saw him play in Bristol last year. I was one of the most intimate gigs I've been to and I met him briefly afterwards. It was hypnotic!

Thank you for sharing this so thousands more can be exposed to Dylan's great work. I'm all for not necessarily purchasing the music, as long as we go out and support the artists on tour!

@ nik hb i would ask you to jump off your high horse for a minute but considering how ridiculously high up it is, i'm afraid you'd only hurt yourself, so let's think about this objectively: 1) musicians like Dylan Carlson make the majority of their money through touring and merchandise, NOT record sales 2) you'd really be surprised how many people listen to a song/album on KZfaq and actually buy the record if they like it, as opposed to the old days where we just spent our money and hoped for the best 3) you're chastising people for viewing a video that you obviously are viewing yourself, massive hypocrite warning! thank you for your time.

I agree. This exposure will encourage people to see him live, with earth or solo. Both are incredible experiences that you can't get on KZfaq. I believe technology has brought back an element of the live experience in a way. Seeing this in person is something you can't get on KZfaq. See the man.

the "just sharing" is exactly how musicians dont get paid for their work. do you go to work and not expect to be paid? im not saying i dont listen to youtube, and i do own this record on green vinyl... all im saying is... the just sharing excuse is only going to fool people who havent got a clue how musicians survive. you hold no rights to this music, which you are giving away free. im willing to hear a counter argument to what i saying, i just cant see how you are justifying your actions
