In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, there is only war...but, everyone seems to be able to communicate just fine. If you want to move an Imperial Guard regiment from the arse end of the galaxy straight into your own artillery because you don't like the way they pronounce the letter H, you can! If you want to hurl Orky insults at those metal skeleton gitz, go right ahead! They'll understand you just fine through their Space Egypt trappings.
BUT WHAT IF THEY COULDN'T!? One man, Belisarius Cawl, dares to dream of such a thing, and using knowledge gleaned from a book he skimmed while inventing the Primaris Marines, he's ready to put his Turris Babel plan into action. But like every secret Imperial plan that will really, seriously, for sure wipe out the Xenos once and for all this time, it doesn't exactly go as envisioned. Can Cawl and his old buddy Roboute Guilliman overcome the odds and set the world back to rights! No, they can't! Which is why a random member of the Leagues of Votann and an Ork are going to do it for them. Or, rather, learn a valuable life lesson which will encourage divine intervention on their behalf.

@@Parisbre56 tbh tho the ork also stated that everyone speaks the same language for a reason to avoid confusion and this is the same with any fantasy verse and few don't follow this rule, not only that but because all orks are given their power of belief naturally, it's very likely all orks think it doesn't matter who or what you are, you can understand them. However: because of how they've devolved from krorks, this actively means that their own speech while understandable is still quite shoddy, though with high waaagh energy like with the war of the beast, it does improve as shown with the ork ambassador sent to the high lords during the war of the beast. Tldr: orks do speak English because they speak everything because they BELIEVE no matter what you are, they can be understood by you.

Now this makes me think because in the lore orks speak a form of gothic when talking to humans but we also have words like truk and shootas are these translated words or the way they actually say it? If that is how they are actually said that explains why other characters sometimes refer to them by their ork names

It's Swedish. The other space marine is speaking Irish Gaelic. The kin is speaking Scots, which itself is a separate, but extremely similar language to English. The Tau speaks Japanese, Guilliman speaks Latin, Cawl speaks Binary, the Ork speaks Cockney (thus why he and the kin understand one another)

Lizardmen would prolly be Nahuatl or Quechua. Though they are in Warhammer Fantasy. Closest thing to them in 40k is the Tarellians and they are an endangered species.

Well yes but there are another from norse mythology about the gods tricking a giant to build a wall to protect Asgard but when he dont recive his pay (the sun and moon) he turns on the gods befor being slain by Thor, exept in the case for the Destruction of kavsar the builder where probably a skaven/Greyseer or somthing has to do with the Great horned rat and that win

I just realized that the likely real reason the Ork is unaffected by the tower isn't because of standard Ork WAAAGHery, but because it reverted everyone's language to the culture they're based on; and as everyone knows, Orks are based on *English* football hooligans.

By scattering peoples languages, and make them stop building the Tower of Babel, he wanted stop the progress of humanity, and divide them, so they won't try to become his equal. God wants us to be mere worms, writhing in the dirt of our tribalism, mutual prejudice and hatred. He doesn't want us to unite and work together for better tomorrow. Why? Because God hates and fears us, and our true potential as sapient species. God fears that one day we could become equal to him. In my opinion, Tower of Babel is not a symbol of human hubris, but a metaphor of Religion (and other superficial nonsense that divides us) impeding science and progress of humanity, The lost chance of transcendence and realizing our full potential. God wants us to be his obedient thralls, mere playthings he can punish and torture for even the most banal transgressions for unfathomable reasons. God is a bully kid with a magnifying glass, we are the ants, and the Tower of Babel is an anthill stomped flat by God.
