This course leaves us no excuse for not learning Quranic Arabic. The content and pace is so meticulously tuned to suit the beginners like me (who always found it intimidating). The fundamentals PDFs are a great effort and help not just gauge what we have learnt in that particular session but also reinforce the concepts accurately in an effective way. JAZAKALLAH KHER.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: The Arabic language has regular plurals and broken plurals. Regular plurals follow predictable patterns, like adding certain endings. Broken plurals are irregular and don't follow predictable rules. Broken plurals can't be easily predicted, so you have to learn them individually. Many Arabic words have broken plurals, making vocabulary learning essential. 32:52: Understanding the different types of plurals in Arabic is crucial, including masculine plurals, feminine plurals, human broken plurals, non-human broken plurals, and plurals because the Arabs decided so. 35:12: Recognizing the type of plural a word belongs to is essential, as it determines its grammatical properties, such as status, number, and gender. 50:22: Non-human broken plurals are treated as singular and feminine in grammar, even though their meaning is plural. This is a unique aspect of Arabic grammar. 55:14: When dealing with Arabic combinations (sound and combination letters), you can determine the status, number, and gender of a word more easily. 01:00:08: Understanding the meanings of Arabic words is essential for identifying their grammatical properties, especially when determining the type of plural a word belongs to. 01:04:39 Arabic words can be grammatically treated as singular feminine or plural feminine when dealing with human broken plurals. 01:07:00 Arabic words that end with certain letter endings like "ah" or have been traditionally considered feminine by Arabs are treated as feminine. 01:13:43 In Arabic, the default assumption is that words are masculine, and words are considered feminine based on specific endings, the Arab tradition, or being body parts in pairs. 01:34:02 Arabic words that end with "Ina" are typically treated as plural and masculine. 01:36:48 Arabic nouns have three key attributes: status, number, and gender. 01:39:11 Proper nouns and pronouns are always considered proper in Arabic. 01:44:16 When a word is used before "of" and the word after "of" is proper, the word before "of" becomes proper as well. 01:45:13 Arabic nouns can have four properties: status, number, gender, and type (common or proper). 02:15:15 When the word after "of" is proper, the word before "of" is also considered proper. 02:16:16 The word before "of" is called "modaf," and the word after "of" is called "modaf ilayh." 02:18:15 To create a "modaf," two conditions must be met: the first word should be light, and the second word should have "jar" status. 02:24:15 Maliki (Master of) is considered proper because it meets the conditions of being light and not having "Al," and it's confirmed by the word following it. 02:25:19 "IBN" (son of) can become a "modaf" if it is light and does not have "Al," and it's followed by a "modaf ilayh." 02:27:54 "Subhana Allahi" means "I declare the Perfection of Allah" and is an example of the "modaf ilayh" construction. on day 3 and love the course thank you, constructive criticism however, when you are reiterating a point such as the conjugation of a word, you ask the response from your audience, they give the answer but I behind my computer didn't hear what they said, and you didn't reiterate what they said (the correct answer). I realize you are teaching a live class, but for the people like me behind a computer, you must reemphasize the correct answers so we get it. thank you

Can anyone explain why مالهُ in the ayat الذي يؤتي ماله يتزكى proper?? This is mentioned on page 15 of the book
@mdrashedali
@mdrashedali Ай бұрын
The term "مالهُ" is considered proper Arabic. It's composed of two parts: "ما" which means "what" and "له" which means "to him". When combined, it forms an interrogative phrase meaning "What does he have?". and whenever you see a pronoun or attached pronoun the word becomes proper. one of the 7 things that makes a word proper.

38:28 'That attitude prohibits your latitude' THIS 47:00 IS THIS WHY WE CALL SHIPS AND CARS 'SHE'?? Like because of other language influences?? 😲😲 48:48 One translation of the Quran referred to the moon and sun as she and he and I was like... WHAAAAT?? (Abdullah Yusuf Ali) 1:07:19 But Bahr (the young boy that went viral for telling the guests to go home because his mom cooked for two days / boy who swore his dad won't get another wife because he thought his dad's passport was a marriage certificate.) His siblings must have already made the feminine plural joke about his name because Bahr means sea but seas are bihaaru so it's feminine singular plural (she)🤣🤣 1:12:37 Honestly just for the sake of clarity and people not mistaking angels as being females (like Allah mentions in the Quran that previous people said Allah has taken daughters from the angels ASTAGFIRULLAH. Allah is above what people make up) So algamdulilah for this and the arabic language for being CLEAR as Allah has said.💗 1:13:11 - 1:59:58 THIS IS SO ACCURATE 2:00:15 Good examples of why we have to learn arabic and not be laymen with our education

The previous intensives the ones with Ahmed and maryam I took those so here's what I can tell : If you're following this one it might be too fast paced for you because ustadh is covering all the materials he took his time in the other intensives in just a day. If you really wanna take your time and go slow than the previous dream program should be for you. Those ones were long too but they built my foundation so now watching these I'm only refreshing whatever I previously learnt.

When a word starts with ال the question of light or heavy is irrelevant... because ال does not take tanween.

@thebayyinahstudent
@thebayyinahstudent Жыл бұрын
@@nuzhatabbas3252I'll tell you the process actually inshaAllah which will help u in the future 1. Is الشمسَ ending sound or combination? Sound (cuz no combo matches it) 2. So it's NASB & obviously singular cuz it's a sound and you get that from the singular column 3. On pg 13, it's feminine cuz the arabs said so 4. ال makes it Proper So you have all the 4 properties. 😊

Do we have 3(R and N&J separately) sounds in plural for broken plurals? کُتُبٌ کُتُبً کُتُبٍ Because in regular we have Nasb and Jarr with same ending. Like مٌسلِمُونَ مسلمِینَ مسلمِینَ

as per my understanding plural of "كـتـاب" is non human broken plural. you can use Status (RNJ) based on sound, Number: singular: gender: feminine She or Plural: they (masculine). If I'm wrong please correct me also.
