Born and raised in Akita prefecture, Shibuya Naoto is a master fly fisher who has chased many dreams. “I want to catch a lot of fish”, “I want to catch a big fish” these are the dreams that all fishers chase, but what lies beyond those dreams? The first of the “Dream Chasers” series, we follow Shibuya Naoto in Hokkaido. He uses a long leader system to attract one wild rainbow after another to the water’s surface. He catches Rainbows over 40cm, rainbows over 50cm - all in splendid condition using his 4wt rod by using strength gently, a skill that he since honed since his childhood.
