I swear, most of the DSMP low key grew up on techno or have been watching him for a HOT SEC. I feel like it must be so dope for them to play with him on the SMP having watched him for so long.

@@emilyprest8265 ~5 years was when he became more noticeable. He's had booms about every year since then. In listening to a lot of the MCYT community's feelings on him, most of them have been watching for ~4 years or so, as most have mentioned his hypixel days being where they took interest. Considering how most of the DSMP is around 20, give or take about 3 years (with a few exceptions), most of the people who have been watching him have been watching him for a bit under a quarter of their lifetime. I dont mean that they grew up on him since they were tiny children, but their youtube relationships and personalities were made with him as a solid impact and a beacon within their own growth over the course of many years, especially when compared to their ages. Most of the people mentioning techno on the DSMP have been fans for longer than 2 years, and he has been a noted community member for way more than 2 years, especially considering when he took a dip because he was starting college.

yeah exactly. i feel like he was really the transition between the two in a way because even though he never necessarily collabed with the older generation his content in the years even before mcm and smp earth where mcyt wasn't as popular was what kept me interested in minecraft :)

Minecraft Monday, in my opinion, was when Technoblade really established the start of a new generation of Minecraft KZfaqrs. With how he met some of the older youtubers that he had been inspired by and then he took the spotilight in front of all of them, and ever since then, the newer Minecraft KZfaqrs have grown a lot more until Dream SMP (made primarily by KZfaqrs that have in some way been inspired by Techno) boosted their popularity much further.

Unfortunately, I don't think it will, because any sort of competition between the two will spark hostility between their fans (Mostly from Dream's side, since his fanbase is larger, therefore there are more toxic people among them). Besides, Dream didn't lose Manhunt for quite a while now, while Techno is always expected to perform well, so such an event could cause a high level of stress for both of them (I think Dream talked once about those expectations that would be put on Technoblade if he participated in Manhunt, and seemed concerned about it).

I started watching him in 2019 thanks to Pewdiepie and Quackity.(I was a huge fan of Quackity way before he joined the SMP. I miss his old content tbh) Pewdiepie and James Charles were obliterated by Techno and Pewdiepie called him out jokingly saying that "Technoblade is cancelled". And with Quackity, he and JunkyJanker were ambushed by him and watching them scream in fear as Technoblade made his way over to them made me interested in his content. Then went over to his channel and well, have been watching him ever since.

I think its so funny how a lot of these ccs were fans of eachother, and later became friends with them Like Tommy, Tommy was a HUGE fan of Jschlatt and eventually became his friend (and got a huge platform leading him to other creators) He also had a screenshot of Techno in a lobby cuz whenever he saw a cc he would take a screenshot of them, and he was just a big fan of Techno(he basically behaved like a fan lol) But here they are Literally online brothers now Also its funny for Dream cuz he eventually rivaled up to Techno at some point as well Oh man its so cool to see other people become friends with the ones they really looked up to

my rivalstwt soul is crying ueueueue this is so wholesome. i discovered dream first before techno and when i found out about this "rivalry", i was kinda hesitant to check techno's content. but since i saw videos of him interacting with techno, i started watching techno's content and became a huge fan of him. im so glad i joined the fandom around november since the competition has died down and both fandoms are already friends at that time

That whole stream was great, you can see why he’s so active defending his real fans from haters because he’s been a fan himself and he knows what it’s like to be really into something. He said about techno here, but he mentioned being a big fan of purpled as well, and he’s said about being a football fan before. It’s nice.

@@grassblock7668 heh probably true to some extent, like there are people with such social awkwardness that it turns into anxiety which isnt Techno's case cus he wouldnt stream, but he definitly isnt the most sociable guy around. Hell when Niki speaks about how Techno is such a good friend she knew that it would just be awkward. Techno does have ADHD as secret weapon because his distractions just create and lead discussion naturally though
