Frankly, I'm glad to see the solid construction of older OPs getting the lime light again. I came into the fashion around 2011/2012, and I genuinely miss the thicc cotton beasts of the era. They felt like I was getting my money's worth in terms of weight, fabric quality, and the sheer amount of detailing. Scallops, ruffled tiers, layers and layers of eyelet, embroidery, pintucking, rows of faux corsetting across the bottom of the skirt...the good stuff. I'm also super glad you're feeling better, Tyler. That sounds like hell!

I have a theory that AP realized how divisive the Honey Cake re-release was, and that's why all the more recent re-releases are in their original material instead of a different material. If i'm right, I'm glad they saw the errors of their ways. The poly on the new Honey Cake makes me so sad!

That's beautiful! I'm surprised but it's cotton, they've been using a lot of polyester blend fabrics lately, especially in regard to lace. But it looks absolutely stunning! Also, maybe it's a good thing that that bow is safety-pinned because you could move it anywhere, and it would certainly be easier to clean. So awesome!

As for the sizing question; if AP knew what was good for them they'd make the bust 88~110cm by making the shirring panel on the back wider. The original sizing is 88~98cm which you would need to be under for this to fit comfortably. Many japanese and international lolitas these days want pieces that are bigger than max 98cm garment bust. Also pieces can get really tight/uncomfortable or might not even fit people who are well under the max listed measurements. For example a piece claiming to go up to 99cm garment bust might not be wearable for anyone over 92cm bust. Sometimes the max measurements listed for a release are literally how much fabric is in there at the max, and other times it's more of a "this is the max measurements you need to be under in order for this to fit well/comfortably/look good according to our standards". It would be so appreciated if brands started listing both the max amount of fabric and their recommended max sizing for the item.

oHMYGOD I'm early lmao but as a non-printed piece, it's surprisingly stunning. that said it deffos wouldn't fit me (as a plus sized AP person) but dANG it actually feels like a really flexible piece to have in a wardrobe. you could keep it as is with some casual add ons, or dress it up with so many add ons to it, it seriously feels really flexible which is nice to see nowadays. 10/10 :)
