somehow ducati always manages to "ruin" the facelifts, the 1199 is simply beautiful (picking up my tricolore on saturday), then the 1299, still nice but it seems bulkier. same with the V4, the 2018 model is really nice but then the facelift from 2020.....again something feels off and it feels wider

Fame at last, 35 seconds into the film you can see me in the RH background on my GS after completing Land's End to John O'Groats using only A & B roads (no dual carriageway). I saw the cameraman on the hill, and even pulled in next to the van and 1199 which was parked there hoping to have a chat but everyone was busy elsewhere. The bikes sounded fantastic.

Rode the 1199 SL and wow what a bike, there's something about these bikes that just feel so much better than their mass produced counterparts. They feel special, they feel like a bike that is at the peak of what a bike is supposed to be (for their time). I loved the rawness of the 1199SL, might get one here soon.

What an incredible back to back ride! I am going to be fortunate enough to ride an 1199 SL next weekend to review, super excited about that. The 1299 SL is still my favorite, I got to experience the V4 SL 3 weeks again and the tameness of it was surprising. It is the ultimate bike, but did Ducati make it too tame???

Let's all admit. The Desmosedici RR is probably one of the best Ducatis out there. Pure raw riding experience only the bravest can tame it. Electronics are useful but I feel it has taken a chunk out of pure riding pleasure when you let all the computer do all the work for you.

The Desmodeci RR is the ultimate Ducati. Just LOOK at it. Prettier than a 916 and just think they NEVER came out in an ordinary version in the Replica look. What a shame... The new Super Leggera looks like a Honda with its design. Everytime I see it I think its a Fireblade RR - Honestly.

great vid and yes dreams can be made a reality.. But the 1299 s anniversario was the first to have DSC.. Ducati slide control. Yes the superlegg was more comprehensive and had a different imu set up. But ducati tells me the v4 DSC and imu is even more advanced then the 1299 superlegg..This is a cycle that will always repeat its self.

I decided to quit riding last year and sold my two Ducatis...I miss them but just wasnt getting the same thrills anymore. If I ever return to riding, I would buy the 1099..purely because it's so beautiful. The current bike is obvioiusly better but I just can't get past the looks of thing. Call me biased, but I still say the 916 SP was the most amazing bike of its era that Ducati has ever made..But any sports Ducati is something special..

Great vid but disagree on one point, the superleggera in road trim is not the most powerful Ducati production bike ever, that accolade belongs to the V4s Speciale which has 226hp straight out the crate. The superleggera V4 only usurps it with the non road legal race kit taking it to 234hp. Of course they are all lighter, so power to weight ratio is a different thing. Love all mcn vids though👌
