Ayushmann in the movie has a talent where he can act and portray as a woman perfectly. Therefore he uses his talent in Stage Shows. (My Interpretation from the trailer) That somehow the Stage Shows didn't go well for him so he started working in the Hot-Line business and over the time every guy/girl he spoke to were obsessed with him. Therefore the chaos begins where the people are tying to search for him which creates trouble in his daily life. Nushrat is his Girlfriend and his also affected by the situation he is in. There is a scene where Ayushmann says i can do everything a woman can, except get pregnant - That was hilarious.

The MeToo scene was an enactment of a scene in Mahabharata known as "Cheer-haran". Where a man is pulling the saree off of Draupadi but he was not able to do so. Because Lord Krishna protected Draupadis dignity by causing a miracle, where the saree was infinitely long. Hope that helped you understand :)

Basically the scene you're referring to in Mahabharata is when one of Draupadi's husband loses a bet by falling into a trap layed by the family they're warring with, and before hand he was so confident he'd win that he bet that if he lost, draupadi would get naked in front of the assembly. Lord Krishna didn't want this to happen, so when they started to pull her Saree, she prayed, and lord Krishna basically made her Saree neverending.

The story goes like this: Draupadi was the wife of Pandavas. The eldest of Pandavas, Yudhisthira used to enjoy gambling and he was trapped by his enemies in one game where he lost everything - his kingdom, his army, brothers, himself. Then he was given an offer to gamble his wife against everything he had lost. He did and lost that game too. So, his opponents - Duryodhan, Duhshasan and others tried to molest Draupadi by removing her clothes in the King's court. She called Lord Krishna, and by his intervention, her saree became unending. This frightened the perpetrators and they exiled the losers - Pandavas for 14 years. The event also led to the second brother - Bhima swearing to break the thigh of Duryodhan, to break the hands of Duhshasan and to drink his blood. Draupadi too swore to wash her hair in Duhshasan's blood. These swearings were completed in Mahabharat.

This movies has Ayushmann showcases about people being lonely in today's time even when we have many friends on social media. So this movie tells about a person needing someone to share his inner monologue and he takes that role. There's nothing​ regarding transgender or any other views. There's also part of Mahabharata that I want clarify: The Mahabharata is story of feud in Royal family between children of the King's brother, i.e the sons of a cursed king who leaves his throne to older blind brother till his sons return to rule and the sons of old blind brother who is acting reagent, while his sons think throne should be theirs. The cursed King's sons lived in forest till young age when they were brought back to kingdom while their cousins who grew in palace think that it's demeaning to share riches with them who grew in forest. The rivalry begins from there with one set of morally good cousins and another set of morally bad cousins. Bad ones hatch many plans to eradicate good ones but we're thwarted one way or the other. After a Swayamvar of Draupadi the good one marry Draupadi due to circumstances and set there own kingdom conjoined with bad ones as they have not built on separate land but on land given by there blind uncle. During the inauguration on new mystical palace of good one the Elder brother of bad ones with few of his people visit as a gesture but while viewing the pool area he falls in one of the pools unknowingly due to mystical nature of palace as there were many places which fooled one perception. The Draupadi laughs and comments about being son of blind is also blind and causing elder bad cousin to feel humiliated. He then plots to take revenge on her and invites good cousins to play dice. Here he wins everything from good one from their kingdom, wealth,army, land and finally causes good ones older brother to dare Draupadi on gamble to win everything back which is lost by good elder brother. Then as Draupadi become slave of eldest bad cousin, he orders his second brother to drag Draupadi by her hair strip her Clothes infint of all courtiers to humiliate her. His brother brings her by dragging but as he starts to strip her then Lord Krishna intervenes and saves her from such humiliation. Draupadi then curses everyone who caused such scene to occur and didn't do anything to prevent a woman from getting humiliated. This is the reason for the great war of Mahabharata, war in same family with sets of cousins against each other. If you want to know more I can explain more. Thanks

It's a lovely movie. Yes it's a hot line. But the captivating part is to show the audience how people are lonely despite so many friends and folks. They don't have anybody to open their heart to. That's the concept which is projected in a comical way. There are four characters of different age and gender are affected by loneliness. And this girl puja not just a hot line host do more than just her job. Very understanding and direct the callers to a better life. Great movie!!

Draupadi is the wife of five brothers, and an amazing queen, her husbands lose her and themselves to their cousins in a game of dice. The brutish cousins go overboard with the concept of their loss and their slavery and try to disrobe Draupadi... A queen , in front of the entire assembly... But they werent able to disrobe her because Draupadi was a very powerful lady and a great devotee... So the guy who was pulling the end of her saree gets exhausted and falls down after pulling out yards and yards of saree ... Call it inner strength, or devotion or mere grit, something helped Draupadi to endure the ordeal, she attributed it to Lord Krishna... Kudos to Achara for getting the basics right...Mahabharatha is the longest epic in the world written in Sanskrit with over 10,000 verses. This scene is one of the pivotal scenes in the epic that eventually ends in a war between the cousins. The reason of the war being dishonour done to women... If a queen herself could face this treatment, then what safety does the state give to a common woman? This is one of the pertinent questions raised by Draupadi.

According to me Ayushman Khurana picks films that could potentially act as catalysts to Indian societies and their progression. He really manages to bring out serious issues in a tilt of humour. Even in dream girl issues of how women were treated and still treated without asking for their permission and their wants is depicted. You can see that in the trailer Ayushman starts to get more and more and more frustrated and breaks off regarding how self centred people are on I LOVE POOJA
