भारतीय विदेश सेवा में करियर के बारे में बता रहे हैं देश के पूर्व विदेश सचिव रहे शशांक. इस लेक्चर में उन्होंने आईएफएस अफसर के चयन प्रक्रिया, ट्रेनिंग, जॉब प्रोफाइल, करियर में तरक्की और एक आईएफएस अफसर की चुनौतियों के बारे में बात की है. उन्होंने ये भी बताया है कि अगर कोई UPSC की सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में सफल नहीं हो पाया तो विदेश सेवा में जाने के और क्या रास्ते हैं.

सर,iFS के पद पाने के बाद कितना वेतन व सुविधा, कार्य,किसी भी देश में नियुक्ति किस प्रकार व कितने दिनों के लिये होती है,पदोन्नति में कितना समय लगता है,परिवार को लेकर बाहर देश में रहने दिया जाता है या नहीं,.....आदि पर व्यापक तौर पर व्याख्यान दें धन्यवाद

Yes, you can join the Indian Foreign Service through any language, but you as the representative of India who is sent to represent India abroad, then you have to go to the people there, the governments there, the ambassadors there, Knowing the English language is essential for keeping India's interests in various international organizations like United Nations, Union etc.
