I normally hate the majority of improvisation when drummers do covers but I always respect yours for some reason. Id say this is about 92% completely faithful and 8% improvised. And I know this album inside out, back to front times (falling into) infinity. Loved the Finally Free improv!

From the extra or dotted bass drum note in Fatal Tragedy (which alot of people seem to think is an accident) to the finale in Finally Free -- never seen anyone come close to this level. Just hard to believe only 38k views on this when there are so many shit covers out there. This is the best DT cover on the tube -- and I've seen nearly all of them. Thanks bro! This album alone is DT's legacy to modern prog rock/metal scene. So I find it odd (most) people only know Dance of Eternity and that's cause of its infamous complexity. Go check the rest of the album, you lot. It has a great story to tell.

What never gets discussed in these medley videos, is exactly where to make the cut from one song to another and what song to choose and why so. That is a task unto itself which takes talent. Also love the snare/tom flam. I don't recall many people other than Portnoy using it. Also love that chunky fill around 17:09. I reckon Portnoy would massively approve of your Finally Free improv
