I love how Dream had to try hard targetting super dark, personal stuff like Nagito's illness and the loss of his loved ones, but Nagito still absolutely won without stooping to that level, targetting Dream on the front of his own actions and failures.

The amount of references and care you put into Komaeda's verses and dreams verses against him are insane. From mentioning the time he brought a bomb, his dog, his stage 4 lymphoma, and him firing russian roulette with 5 bullets, dreams disses were so good. Komaeda mentioning inhaling gas, the entire thing of him with the traitor. The cuts went so deep. Great job. Glad to see komaeda win but even more glad to see how DEEP you went with the verses.

1:56 Dream puts a gun to his head and pulls the trigger, which doesn't set it off. He pulls it two more times before taking it away from his head and it goes off. Considering it's NOT a revolver, this means the gun had jammed not once, not twice, but three times. In other words? He's EXTREMELY lucky.

As a DR fan, im proud to say nagito sent dream back to minecraft on this one. And now that you guys have done a character from the first two games, i think doing one from V3 would be AMAZING. My personal choice is Maki, simply because of how cold she already is personality wise, i feel like she would spit some flames if u got her to actually participate. And there's also my huge bias towards her as a character, so thats a factor in my reccomendation too. Edit: wait people agree with this??? Im just a maki simp who happened to use way too much brainpower to write this, idk what to do with this attention pls help

With his fan following and the fact they did Nagito, it's probably gonna be Kokichi, which also makes sense because lying would be a fun way to diss someone and he has really good dialogue- especially insults- to work off of. Or since they already have the 3D model, maybe even Monokuma, the most popular and well known character in the entire franchise. That is assuming they even revisit DR at all, but I think with the release of new games by Kodaka this year, the hype is definitely there.

Dream had some good hits, but Nagito SLAUGHTERED him. Also shoutout to the actors, specifically Nagito’s. He really embodied the character!! The sprites, the expressions, and the way he talked were spot on! The production value is incredible too, and the visuals really elevated the production. Fantastic!!

Very impressive impersonation of Nagito's English VA! I had only a basic understanding of who Dream is, so I didn't get every reference, but that ProJared mention was brutal. Just based on the other things you mentioned that I've read, I think I'd back Nagito in this instance-- and I hated Nagito.

I might be biased since I personally don't like dream, and any diss that surrounds a real life character will automatically hit harder, but holy shit, thats such a clever play on how dreams work, and a perfect way to roast not just dream's fanbase, but his handling of them, and how it'll eventually backfire.

This battle is tied with Yuri v. Toko as one of my favorite battles of all time. Everything about it is so well done. The only thing stopping it from beating Yuri v. Toko is that I don’t know much about Dream, so I don’t get a lot of the references, but besides for that, everything was amazing. 10/10 Rap Battle

I love DR and the DSMP, but I won’t lie when I say I laughed my ass off at Nagito’s last verse. This is so simultaneously cringe, and the most amazingly put together piece of art i’ve ever watched. The fact that the production is so high quality for such a stupid concept makes it that much funnier-I can’t believe out of the billions of years this planet has existed, I managed to be alive at the same time as Nagito Komaeda vs. Dream

I love the backgrounds. On Dream's end we have a forest biome, followed by going to the Nether for his last verse, while Nagito starts on the beach of Jabberwock Island before moving to the Class Trial room, and then finally the burning building where he met his fate, ending with the video he recorded towards the other students. You can even see that the Monokumas are the little panels/standees and the spear that he hung over himself!

i like how nagito just completely deletes dream here with actual insults while dream's just making fun of him, this is somehow probably the most realistic rap battle i've ever seen in terms of roasts, also seriously nagito being absolutely BRUTAL here is very in character
