Yes I also recommend Mera's video "Dodging Disbandment ..." first. The videos show's more of the background story and doesn't show to much of the songs. It covers the first 3 years of Dreamcatcher + the Prequel "MINX" and is the best introduction to them. The editing is also perfect with hilarious sections. Once completed it's ok to move on to the other "Ultimate... " guide mentioned (but beware it's throws all the songs at you at the beginning).

Its like JiU is the keeper of Yoohyeon holding her in check due to Yoohyeon past sins. But finally letting go but JiU was unaware that the darkness had returned to Yoohyeon to exact revenge on JiU for her betrayal in You and I.

If you have not watched these yet and you wish to remain spoiler free, do not read any further. - Spoilers begin here - I'm going to try avoid going too deep down the theory crafting rabbit hole here. Otherwise I might just end up typing a novel length comment. I don't see what happened in You and I as a betrayal. It was more of a failure on JiU's part. By this time in the story JiU has removed the curse from the rest of the members but Yoohyeon's curse was a tougher nut to crack. A lot of people think Yoohyeon killing the spider triggered the curse but if you pay attention during the Fly High video things start going wrong before she killed the spider. My theory is that the curse was triggered when JiU captured the spider. Yoohyeon made herself the primary target when she killed the spider. You could say that the power behind the curse had a personal grudge, a vendetta against Yoohyeon because she killed the spider. In the You and I MV we see JiU exorcise the curse from Yoohyeon, depicted by the black smoke leaving her body during the ritual. Later the curse, in the form of the old lady, comes back to reclaim Yoohyeon. We see this as the shadow of the spider on the wall during the photography scene and the smoke re-entering her body shortly after. This, to me, is not a betrayal on JiU's part. She actually succeeded in removing the curse from Yoohyeon. It was the old lady that pulled her back into the curse. Well, anyway, that's the way I look at it. Of course your theories may differ. That's the beauty of all this. Dreamcatcher purposefully left most of the finer details vague so that we could come up with our won stories, based on our own theories. What I'm saying is that you're not wrong. For the most part there really is no 'wrong' answer. It's just that your theory doesn't match mine.

When JiU covers Yoohyeon eyes after the ritual shows deceit. Yoohyeon running toward the portal trying to get through before it closes also show that it was not a choice for her to be there. But of course many people have many different opinions and theories and DC invites us to interpret things the way way want. So this is just my opinion.@@keithcraig506

Yes, Mera did an AMAZING job with that video! I think I asked her how long it took to compile. My comment is buried somewhere so it may be difficult to find. My memory is crap so I can't even remember if she ever got back to me about that. It may have taken weeks to get all of that pulled together. It was definitely a labor of love, you can tell she really enjoyed putting that one together. She has a wicked sense of humor. :)

It's sad that there's not a great new guide, I personally also recommend the old one. And I think for the same reason as the others, it's just not that good :( (again I'm apparently not alone, it's not as popular for a reason). The old one could use some cutting down, but it's still a lot cuter and more organised (I haven't watched the new one in a long time but I still remember that I didn't like it).

I've now seen the error of my ways lol i FINALLY watched the Extensive 2023 guide and it's definitely just as good as the other one and up to date so I'll recommend it from now on

@@nontask78 It's a title track of the Japanese album. In a behind the scenes video SuA said it was the last Nightmare series MV, which to me makes that official as anything else.

Have you checked out An Extensive Guide to Dreamcatcher 2023 yet? Might want to check it out it's pretty good and updated and informative like the 2021/2022 guide. Until we wait for the updated guide by Dreamworld, I suggest this guide as the default guide for now.
