Just to put salt in the wounds, in the same 2019, two months after Dreamcatcher's controversy, which was swept under the rug, SBS "corrected" (more as they revealed how all the points were calculated to confirm the winner) Kang Daniel's win on The Show, after fans of his competition said he was favored by the music show. Meaning they had all the conditions to at least give Dreamcatcher fans an answer, instead they just decided to ignore the issue, which just hurt both parties involved. Dreamcatcher doens't get their first win (they did not manage to get one with Scream as they cameback bewtween Iz*One record breaking comeback and BTS ON's) and Everglow is attacked to this day by anti's for having a "fake" first win. Just a mess.

For me the thing with The Show started during PIRI promotion. They gave them insane promotion- 4 songs performed during one show? The hype was so high. And then they lost to CLC (one good thing about it was that they became friends). The tears were... heart breaking. And tight after that the interview... I really felt that I've been stabbed to the heart. Some claimed miscalculation back then (I can't confirm it. I lost all of my screenshots from back then). And then with Deja Vu - the sales were insane, the MV views risen in outstanding time and it was consistent growth (we haven't stopped for 2-3 weeks). And yet... that awful situation. And that poorly edited in Paint poster for the unit performance next week. It was just so terrible. I hope we will hand them a first win next comeback bc they damn sure deserve it.

I’ve watched this video so many times as well and it always hurts seeing all the bad luck that happened to them (like Dongie being separated from them for this long now). I remember I was driving to work while the votes were being tallied for the Show and by the time I got to work and found out they didn’t win, I couldn’t work properly that day. Of course the girls are just thankful for anything InSomnias give them. But as the video pointed out, their unconventional ways are bringing out the corruption and unfair biases in the kpop industry (like we didn’t already know). And as long as DC keeps persisting and making great music I think they’ll eventually get their 1st win or at least the recognition they deserved, and perhaps change the way things are run in kpop. MINX's songs were good too, but that concept was quite no fitting them, Yoohyeon and Dami were only 17 and Siyeon was 19 at that time. All the camera works and concept things made them so much uncomfortable.

I remember that issue with The Show during their Deja Vu comeback. I spent days and nights rewatching for the views and participated in Starpass, The Show's voting app, religiously. I was so upset with the results and even more when people pointed out The Show did them dirty.

Last comment (I think) Dreamcatcher is having a steady growth since Piri. And even more since Deja vu. Deja vu MV, was close to reach 1 million views in the first 24hs, but it didn't get the number. Scream Mv, was near 3 Millon in first 24hs. So they got almost 3 times their previous number. Even more Scream MV was the faster to get 10M in about 2 o 3 weeks... oh I just remember something,in this comeback was 3 goals to reach in views, 3,7 and 10 millon, each one the price was a Dance performance of Scream different. You now can watch the last one of 10M. Is a must after watching all the Title tracks. Deja vu needed 5 months. Scream is the first one to reach 15M and 20M. Also the Official channel in KZfaq was in 326k of subscribers they day Scream was premiered. Today they reach 560k. They won 240k subscribers in less than half of the time they get this number before. And is growing 1k per day, is doesn't seem much but is constant. So yes our fandom is getting bigger each day and eventually we will give a win, we don't know what is the meaning of the word surrender. The special clip of Red sun has the fastest growing in all their B-sides, and the first to get 2 millon views. And 3 days ago the teaser of "R.o.S.E. Blue" was released, and right now is the third most viewed teaser for a MV of Dreamcatcher, just behind "Deja vu" Teaser and "Scream" teaser . In just 3 days, is amazing, they are getting more attention every new song. And is not even the real comeback. And finally, there is a going on a voting for an award called Soribara. Is just the fans voting so no "experts" involved. Right now we are ranking 5, behind Loona, Red velvet, Twice and Blackpink. Even in some days we reach rank 3. And we are over groups like Gfriend, Mamamoo and G-idle. I think this show how big our fandom is becoming and our level of dedication. On the top 15 of this rank, Dreamcatcher is the only group that doesn't have a win, this say a lot about the industry in my opinion. Sorry for the 3 long post, I overflow you with info.

It's interesting how they don't really promote any one member. They don't seem to treat any member as inferior to another.

I mean Insomnias were especially pissed off, because something similar happened during the previous comeback at The Show. During Piri promotions we had a window, where we basically had to compete with CLC and we were ahead in points by so much, it was pretty certain we would win. However once again we got next to no points at the expert preferences, while CLC got max (or close to max). I don't remember the exact points and people also didn't bother recalculating that much back then, because even though it sucks getting no points at expert preferences, it's technically okay for The Show to do that. Also CLC and DC are really close friends, so Insomnias mainly brushed the whole thing aside. I think that's why people got even more angry during Deja Vu though, because that time we were sure to win no matter how little Expert points we would get. Btw you were right, that the time between Minx and Dreamcatcher was really stressful for them. and to make it worse... it isnt even the first "expert preferences" score where they got fucked over.... the previous comebcak "Piri" ALSO got a 0 on Expert preferences in the same show. ok the difference to first place was 1300 ..... but without the usual 1500 to clc... and the 0 to them.. (so with fair scores given) could have been a win too)

Let's get Dreamcatcher to the top of k-pop scene and show those "experts" what real music sounds like. Also, the industry is pretty effed up but it's always been like that. If it were a better place a group like Dreamcatcher would have thrived but since it's not, I can only hope that people like in YGE management and other more despicable people get some conscience and let creativity grow.

Dreamcatcher is way more intense than mynx. I don't think there's another kpop band as intense as dreamcatcher. I love the aggressive style, they're like the metallica of Kpop.

Insomnia brother, thanks for reacting and loving the girls so much! That Deja Vu first win ordeal was rough to go through. It's the first time I felt the anger and motivation to tweet about anything. I made a point to make the hash tag trend, and it did trend on Twitter, because fans and nonfans sided with us Somnias. It was a painful experience, truly upsetting. Somnias cried that week. The girls were so sweet though, they sincerely thanked us for all we did. As international fans and kfans, we scored top points for the categories we had influence on, we truly did everything we could for them. And they lovingly knew this and loved us for it. These girls are my angels. They deserve the world.

Dreamcatcher has had a bumpy road but they have managed to be amazing through all of it. Of course it's worrisome when there is a long delay between comebacks but sometimes you just gotta perfect something. Obviously the delay right now I'm a bit grateful for because we hope Handong will join it. With the Deja Vu era the profile on other variety shows went up and Siyeon on X1 showing her badass vocals helped bring in more attention. The show loss sucked because it was their win. No shade to Everglow at all and all the shade to SBS and maybe a bit at Everglow's company cause you never know if it was the show acting on its own but it's a blow to Everglow to know your first win wasn't meant for you. With Scream they got their first nomination for M Countdown. But of course when your comeback is the same week as IZ*One after their long hiatus and their album smashes girl group records... what can you expect. And the next week was BTS comeback. Though through that so many people were watching music shows because of those two groups so DC got to stand on stage as a first place nominee with so many more eyes on those shows. All I can hope and pray is that a major group doesn't decide to have a comeback same week again.

SBS is absolutely on my shitlist. Not only do they cheat my ult group DC out of their first win, but they still haven’t taken responsibility for the shit job they did securing places and caused RV’s Wendy to miss this entire year due to the extent of her injuries.

Dreamcatcher do actually need the win, a first win in Korea equal to more money given to you when you appear at events, shows and festivals. And you also have more chances to be cast in bigger variety shows on TV (Running man or Knowing brothers for example), which means way more exposure to a public that doesn't know you yet.

That video is what made me Stan Dreamcatcher. I had been watching Mera's videos to learn about kpop because I like research popular topics I don't know much about so I can be informed when it comes up in conversation. I haven't watch the video yet is to long, and I just woke up and I have to go to work. But now you fully understand why we insomnias are like this. The girls went for so many struggles and they keep working hard, and always gave us big smiles, we just can not ignore that. Knowing that the industry don't promote Dreamcatcher well and Happyface is small so they can't use a lot of money on publicity, we has fans promote the group everywhere, each time a new reactor watch another group we go there and Spam requests for Dreamcatcher, if we catch they early, they fall in love with Dreamcatcher before becoming fans of "standard groups" if they like the standard is harder for Dreamcatcher. I'm still really salty about the first win thing. They deserve it a lot, SURE the others deserved the win too - first win or not - they're as hardworking as Dreamcatcher. But I can't help but feel bad about DC especially. I just want them to succeed, and get their well deserved first win. The thing with Mixnine - BOY WAS I MAD. I'm so glad Jinyoung got to debut with D1CE though, they have awesome chemistry and are really close. Dreamcatcher and D1CE are one of my faves, and seeing them lose in any way hurts. I understand D1CE for not having a first win yet, as they're underrated and always up against really big groups. But with Dreamcatcher? They deserve it, at this point. They went through a lot, got the win basically stolen (no hate to Everglow or anyone else, I adore Everglow and I'm glad they got it so soon, their hardwork paid off.) and continue to work hard everyday for us.

My opinion on all this: Of course it was really upsetting that the first win was stolen, but lets see it positive, cause its a interesting story for future Dreamcatcher after big Success. After Scream dreamcatcher became more popular (even if they didnt get their first win again) and now after the next comeback dreamcatcher is going to become huge! I have the feeling that Dreamcatcher is going to slay the world and whole kpop industry. And having such a story...you know minx disbanded, mixnine issues, concert issues and even the stolen first win...shows how strong they are and how hard they worked. Like Bts they started small in a small unknown company and became huge, everyone was respectful for how much hardworking they were, cause it was hard back then and still now to become huge if you arent in the big 3 companies. This video of Mera was Uploaded the same day that Dreamcatcher announced their Scream comeback, that's why is not mentioned but she mentions their Japanese comeback (Endless night). I don't know exactly why they announced 2 months before the Japan song, but only 2 weeks before the Korean one. The fandom name Insomnia was announced on March 10th. That day is my birthday, so I always say that I was destined to be a Dreamcatcher fan, also Dami birthday is on March 7th, the date I was baptized, once again the destiny chose for me my Bias. In the next comment I gave you some numbers about Dreamcatcher and their growth.

Well I finally watch the video. If you are angry about the stolen win, imagine us, here in Argentina to see The show live we have to wake up 6AM, and those 11 points hit us harder than a train. That moment we didn't know about the numbers behind. But come on 0 in expert preference? That is full bullshit. Is clear that those "expert " were paid. People say that the company of Everglow is really rich in China. I really don't want to think bad of Everglow (the girls are not the problem, I really like Everglow) but the company behind is another history. I have see a video where is a theory about Dreamcatcher not getting a win not just for their rock sound, the true problem is that if they let win a group like DC, people will wake up and see that is possible to make something different and not just the standard pop,hiphop,edm only with samples and not real instruments. If Dreamcatcher success, people will want more things like Dreamcatcher and that means more work and invest for the companies, and more and new ways of training for their artists, even more it won't be so easy get idols who can deliver what Dreamcatcher do. Re: Concepts the Fact of The Matter is the Korean Music Industry and the Korean Public/Fans in general Love Concepts (especially the Cute and More "Main Stream" Concepts) that's why they exist, even if us international fans don't care. Also they still prefer the bubble gum electro pop, Hip Hop and mixed with EDM and Trap mixed in Over the Rock sound of group a like Day 6 and Hard Rock/Metal Sound of Dreamcatcher. Your Assessment of Dreamcatcher not having a Concept and just telling a Story is Off. The Telling of the Story is part of the Concept. Dreamcatcher Has A Rock Horror or Extreme Edgy (Horror) Girl Crush Concept. The sad part is More Girl Groups are embracing this Harder Edge Girl Crush and or Horror Concept and have gotten Wins including Newer Rookie Groups who Dreamcatcher is Senior to but have Gotten their 1st Wins Already and Dreamcatcher still has Not Gotten their 1st Win Yet. Also a Powerhouse Group like Red Velvet has been doing The Horror Theme Conceptas of late as Part of Their Red Side. Now Other Than Red Velvet being One of the most Popular Girl Groups, the difference between Dreamcatcher and other groups is in terms of Sound. The Korean Market can deal with the Horror Theme, which when Dreamcatcher debuted some thought that may have been part of the problem. But as can be seen once again by Red Velvet's recent string if Horror MV's that is not the case after all. The problem is the Home Korean Market preference that Shy's away from Dreamcatcher's Harder Hitting Sound. Dreamcatcher is Extremely More Popular within the International K-Pop Fan Base than in the Home Korean Fan Base and Unfortunately as Far as Wins on Music Shows etc. goes the Korean Market and Fan Base still holds Major Sway on a groups ability to win and popularity. The Good news is Dreamcatcher seems to be on the rise as of late. They have had decent Brand Market Value Placement as of late usually ranking in 20's out of All "Active" Girl Groups. They were chosen as Ambassadors for Idol Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. Chosen For OST's for Kings Raid (Deja Vu Mv) and Girl Gun (Rose Blue Mv Coming Soon) video games and Siyeon was recently dropped The Good Sera Mv's for the KBS K-Drama: Into The Ring. Dreamcatcher also took part in the Milenasia Project Mv: Be The Future with AleXa and IN2IT about preventing the Spread of Covid-19, so things are slowly but surely looking up for Dreamcatcher. Feb - scream mv (first time ever 20 million combined views official + 1thek) & dystopia album (55k sold our most ever), scream was nominated 4 times for 1st place but didn’t win cause izone came back in same month grrr. March - Covid-19 also ruined kcon japan for them & endless night MV promotions. Yup more bad luck 😂
