@@Karashote No, position are important in a group Dreamcatcher just worked hard and improved their overall skills but for other groups positions are very important a lot of groups main dancer will not be able to sing like their vocal line even Dreamcatcher when debute they need to assign who will keep the role so that said member will be able to carry their part successfully positions are given through merits on how one excels on such skills, position like "visual" may seem useless but K-POP and asian society in general is very visual oriented hence visual is important for the marketing and advertisement and as a group later the members are going to promote in different categories some sings ost, went to more singing oriented shows,some will go to more dance oriented promotion or programs, some will do brand contract and model for product this is also why positions are given. In case of Sua she developed her skills to the point where their company is confident in her ability to carry the vocals power role while still maintains the main dancer role as we can see in this performance as well cases like this are actually very rare as not many idols excel as Sua does shows she is an ACE tbh all DC girls ARE ACE material but roles in k-pop actually do matters a lot when it comes to overall performance its just thay DC have developed themselves to the point where they can pull of any role this comes with hard work,experience and career longetivity Sua is in the industry for 13-15 years by now while a new group of 2-3 years experience will still need to follow their assigned role so that their will be more harmony within the groups overall performance and creates more potential success for the job/performance

At this point, I honestly think she, SuA, Siyeon, JiU and Dami are more or less on the same level, they just have different style.

@@Friedensp4nzer Siyeon's thing is shocking to a certain level, because she herself says that she is somewhat lazy and doesn't like to exercise, and you don't expect it, but when she dances she really puts her magic touch on it.

It's just the genre of music they make that doesn't appeal to people in South Korea, which is a shame because their music is absolutely masterful.

They are definitely getting more new domestic fans and recognition for their vocal skills. It's a funny thing to notice, but watching their group fancams, there are a lot of people using their nightstand lamp as light sticks! Since their official light stick has been sold out for a while, that means they are probably new! 😹Their music will probably never chart well since it's just not a popular genre there. But every tour, the venues get a bit bigger, and most important, the girls are actually happy just doing what they like! They get A LOT of input in their careers and could have tried a more mainstream genre if they wanted, but they've stuck with this and renewed their contracts and sound like they have no plans to stop anytime soon.

Right I notice that even with groups that sing well live their backtrack is always way too loud. Dreamcatcher is one of the very few that uses very little backtrack. Taking into account the consistency of it, for example, SM groups having amazing vocalists in ALL of their groups but still having all/the vast majority of them rely HEAVILY on backtrack/lip syncing, I think it's the company's request. Dreamcatcher also very rarely uses backtrack in multiple shows so its unlikely this is a show decision thing. Their company is very confident in their vocals as they should.

@@luancosta199 Yeah right? a lot of amazing singers but majority either has insanely loud backtrack or they just straight up lip sync, I'm glad the company trusts Dreamcatcher with their vocals cuz they're amazing
