In one world where they are villains this alternative world (Virtuous) takes place before they seek to sacrifice others to the crown. When they become obsessed with crown objects you start to worry and investigate. This investigation is aided by a dream journal where someone from the villains world can read it. With their help you discover the horrible nature of the crown and race to protect your seven friends from it. You end up sacrificing yourself to the crown but this in turn shows the virtuous dreamcatcher the crown's true nature. "Suddenly in a flash 8 had become 7." This is what gives them the resolve to destroy it before it hurts others.

The studio cut has all but two members blasting the high note in the chorus; in the showcase, due to Siyeon's absense, HanDong and Sua pulled the excess weight. I don't think anyone understands how RARE it is for this many members within the same group to be able to pull this kind of vocal weight. Then again, this group was born during a time period where that was more common. As Kpop continues to become more and more visual based, with less emphasis on vocal stability during performances or just vocal ability in general, Dreamcatcher remains. This song is going to be absolute HELL to perform consistently, but if anyone can do it, it's them. I hope they are able to keep up with the strain and take the breaks needed to rest their voice during moments of peace that are so rare during promotions. This song has a truly epic chorus and the core sound is back to their roots, steeped in rock. If they were aiming for the whole 'good shall triumph over evil' theme I'd say they nailed it. Ya know, all I could think about is when they take their next Tour-in think it's in the US come November-is the audience and how they would vibe to this song. Likely singing the high not along WITH them.

Dreamcatcher knew that bringing Rock into Kpop was risky. They were worried that their debut was going to fail. They knew it would be hard and that they'd have to be way better than everyone else just to get noticed. Everyone told them they were crazy. They knew the industry would push back on any change to the standard formula that was making it so much money. All of that happened, but they didn't give up, only worked even harder and they never abandoned Rock. Even though Korea wasn't listening, the rest of the world was, and have supported them through the years. Even though it took five years, the international fandom was the key that got them their wins on the music shows. Korean fans are fiercely loyal and together with international Somnies will always be there for them until the end.

The way this fandom has grown maturely is amazing. Seeing the comments on the possible loss, but being proud of ourselves instead of lashing out like the other is doing now. This song is epic. In everything - vocals, choreo, MV, visuals, style... You can listen to it on loop for hours without getting bored. And - Siyeon didn't even take part in the live performances (showcase etc.) published today for health reasons. Siyeon's part was taken over by Handong (subvocalist) and SuA (main dancer) - without any problems and in an incredible way. All 6 were outstanding. It's unbelievable - but after more than 100 of their own songs (10 mini albums and 2 albums) and various cover versions and solos, Dreamcatcher have created a heroic masterpiece that is second to none. I bow in awe and then try to sleep at some point.

I’m being forreal … someone explain to me why this group isn’t number 1? I started my K-pop journey recently and I started with le sserafim, aespa, G-Idle but when I started Dreamcatcher I was blown away. Everything is on point, choreography, music video concepts, their voices, Dami with the hard raps. After watching the MV a few times, here’s my interpretation of the VersuS duology: I think the crown is supposed to be a metaphor for fame. As we know from the ARG and the mystery codes, this duology is about parallel universes. OOTD is part of the VillainS album, while JUSTICE is from the album VirtuouS; so basically, OOTD is a parallel universe/counterpart to JUSTICE. In OOTD, we see the girls fighting among themselves and sacrificing others (like Sasha at the end of the OOTD MV) so they can be worthy of the crown. Some people will change their personalities to please others and do anything in order to achieve success, even if it goes against their values or personal style. It's worth noting that when the song was released, some people said this song sounded "too mainstream" and "not like Dreamcatcher's style" (though I personally think that even if it was different to their usual stuff, DC have always been about experimenting a bit and it still had some of DC's style, but I digress). Meanwhile, in JUSTICE the girls end up destroying the crown instead of being obsessed with being worthy of it. They decide that keeping their values and doing things their way are more important to them than a crown on a pedestal. This parallels Dreamcatcher’s own story. They started out as Minx in 2014, with a cute concept that was popular at the time - in fact, it was so popular that they got drowned out in the sea of girl groups using that same concept and ended up disbanding. They later redebuted as Dreamcatcher in 2017, with a concept that wasn’t popular, but that made them stand out among other groups. Even if their new sound wasn’t something that was made for the charts, their unique style ended up being the reason why they’ve lasted this long compared to other 3rd gen groups. They’ve slowly climbed their way to success by catering to a more niche audience instead of doing what was popular. Some of their title tracks might have been closer to pure rock than others, sure, but every single one of them has had powerful vocals and rock elements to some extent, which has Dreamcatcher’s signature style, in my opinion. This is why you can see so many references to their other MVs in JUSTICE - the storylines and amount of rock influences might vary a bit from one comeback to another, but in the end, they’re all still Dreamcatcher, no matter how much they “change” their concept or thematic universe. So in the end, we see the girls destroying the crown. They no longer feel the need to imitate what’s popular or fight for the spotlight with others in order to get famous, they can simply keep doing their thing and climb up the stairs to success on their own terms, even if their style is not everyone's cup of tea. And they can still count that InSomnias will be by their side supporting them for who they really are (just like 9mynameis1 at 3:10), across all the new styles they try and all the parallel worlds/storylines.

This mv popped on my fyp, I've never heard dreamcatchers songs, I just know it's a kpop gg (I'm a kpop stan). I always felt too lazy to listen to any more kpop groups bc I already stan many. But today I decided to give them a chance. This mv was the best thing I've heard in a while, it made a wave of emotions swallow me, I got goosebumps and I cried, idk why I did but I did. I think I'm gonna be a big fan in the future. Amazing visuals, vocals, the deep voices, the hight notes, the rap part, the concept and the lore itself was on point. Update: I heard fly high, chase me , good night, you and I and "what". I love the instruments, the beats make it sound like baby metal, I love the "stuck in a dream" kinda horror movie concept, I just heard them randomly bc idk where to start, fly high and you and I are my favorite after this masterpiece.
