Odd Eye is part 3 of the Dystopia trilogy, which is about cyber-bullying, hateful comments and people losing themselves in the (fake) online world. People can get lost in the world of the Internet and social media and their online personas can take over their life. Dreamcatcher want us to use our odd eye to see through the lies (on Facebook and others) and don't be fooled by the "lies masked in sweetness". I can only recommend to keep reacting to them, they are always interesting and entertaining! And the song is a banger! In Maison, Dreamcatcher are touching on a very important subject. Maison is French for "house" or rather "home", and they are singing about everyone's home, which is our planet. Previously they talked about online hate, now they are tackling an issue that impacts the whole planet and therefore everyone. Climate change is going to affect all of us, and it is already affecting many people. Island Nations will disappear under the ocean ("Save my home in the ocean"). Ice melts in the arctic and displaces people ("Save my home in the polar"). Forests get decimated by corporate greed and habitats get destroyed ("Save my home in the jungle") and disappearing glaciers and snow packs result in even less water for deserts ("Save my home in the desert"). People have a natural tendency to ignore issues that seem to be in the future - but climate change is here, right now. We can't wait anymore, and it is good that Dreamcatcher use their platform to promote change: "Break your habit now!" Musically I really enjoy the song. Like in BEcause, the rock/metal vibe is dialed back a bit, but it is still there and highly distorted. Although the more I listen to it, the more Rock I hear. I especially like how the pre-chorus and chorus seems to appear out of nowhere, the chord progression in the bridge, and the epic end part. The bass line is crazy as well. LEEZ and Ollounder have done it again, and the members are just brilliant. Respect! And they finally got their first win with Maison on Show Champion! 🥳🥳

And oh I forgot "Maison" is "home" in French (FR InSomnias are blessed) but fun fact: it is also the anagram for "Somnia" which is "DC's home" and we are the ones who may help spreading their message. For "Odd Eye", as the ending is dark and a "bad" (but realistic and possible) one, the tree seems to be artificially kept alive but ultimately is still dying. And yep "Scream" 🙉, "BOCA" 🙊 and "Odd Eye" 🙈. Would be great if you can check their full choreos indeed to see how beautiful and intricate their pictures are. well you got what maison means but using a different theory lol ;) because it's house/home in french. unlike the themes for dreamcatcher's past lyrics, they made the theme easily recognizable because it's an important message. it's also why the chorus is repeated 4 times which is a first for them and as far as I can recall very rare for all the music I've heard in the past. it's also why the mv is all in cgi as to not waste material for studio sets. and yes maison is part 1 of their apocalypse trilogy, apparently addressing environmental concerns. while dramcatcher's mvs are laced with a visual story, it's not what's important. it's always about the themes they are trying to convey. for example a truncated plot summary for the dystopia series could be a story about witch guardians trying to restore an ancient tree poisoned by hate in order to save one of their members. that's all fine and you can go off on a tangent analyzing all the scenes but that's not what the 'dystopia' is about. scream and boca addressed one aspect of a dystopian nature of the internet and social media - online hate. here in odd eye the lyrics address another dystopian aspect of online media - misinformation and falsehoods. some visual imagery show one member drinking the proverbial internet kool-aid and being immediately poisoned and developing an 'odd eye'. the song ends with 'finally covering my eyes, odd eye' with another member blind folded suggesting people should turn away or at least not engage as deeply online/social media. the dystopia trilogy may have been inspired by several very high profile idol suicides in recent years, some linked to highly negative online interaction. as their leader stated, utopia can only be found within oneself and by accepting yourself for who you are and not trying to fit other's mold. perhaps due to real life problems, more and more people have been going online to find communities that share common interests. but their message is all of this is not real and can be harmful if one gets too immersed.

Maison (May-zone) is the French word for house / home. So, yeah, you came to the right conclusion, you just kind of came at it from a different direction. The song is about saving our maison, our home, our planet.

COOL! I am glad to see these reactions! You got the Maison part correct, even if you arrived at that conclusion in a completely different way than I expected. Maison does actually mean 'house' or 'home'...in the French language. If you wanted to spell it in English, it's actually mason, as in brick-laying. So you are right, just came in from an unexpected direction. I love that you think out-of-the-box, that is very refreshing! I do believe the part about the goddesses is correct. I am pretty sure SuA was fighting Satan (or Satan's whelp) after she crashed through the glass ceiling, while they were at the dining table. They all seemed to have some kind of 'superpowers' going on, although JiU's power was not so obvious as SuA's or Dami's (come to think of it, Siyeon's power also was not obvious...). I am not sure if the characters were supposed to be very specific goddesses, or what? Maybe JiU was the one who could see the future (but nobody listens to her) (I am so sorry, my memory is total crap so I cannot remember what her name was from Greek mythology). She knows what will happen but she is powerless to do anything about it on her own. I think HanDong would be Demeter, right? She's the one who can travel places or help other travelers with her portals (if I have that right, anyway). SuA is likely Athena, goddess of War and Knowledge and the Arts. She constantly beat Ares at his own games. Maybe it's Ares (and not Satan) that she is using her power on while standing on the table in front of him. Yoohyeon as Mercury, maybe (mercury has been portrayed as a kid, almost an adult but not quite, and perhaps on the LGBTQ spectrum. Or maybe I read that wrong... So, anyway, no guarantee that Mercury is a guy...)? Yoohyeon's character is obviously a traveler but it didn't seem like she could open her own portal and she basically fell to the ground (I made a joke in the comments of the video, asking if the production team was making fun of Yoohyeon's clumsiness). No, that doesn't make sense now because Mercury would be able to have his own mobility, so he could open the portals himself... Maybe Yoohyeon is Hercules? That was a nice crater she made and she didn't seem hurt at all by falling down. I don't know the rest and I am too tired to guess at the moment. :)
