Fun fact for the break the wall self-made.. They flash the hangul 시련 over Siyeon in various parts of the video, which means Test or Trial, as if she is always the test or challenge they are overcoming through the video. Why did they decide this? Because they sometimes would typo her name (시연) to Test (시련) when messaging eachother lol Edit: also! "Dear" was written by JiU about InSomnia!

So i didn't see anyone here mention it but DEAR was JiU's pet project for around 3 years. it's all JiU with LEEZ and Ollounder helping with the arrangement. We actually got to hear a little During Deja Vu era when they where on a show called Run.Wav that was hosted by SuJu's Cho Kyuhun. she basically nearly always cries when singing it

The problem is that they have so many amazing title tracks and b-sides that are "must see live"s, that the chances are you're only going to get half of them. What we need is for them to do a Vegas Residency where they do shows Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening with different set lists each evening.

CGYOOMM was DC's first full English song, showcasing yet another talent to add to the myriad of others they possess You nailed the vibe of 'Dear' - it is 100% a love letter from Dreamcatcher to InSomnia. All of the lyrics were written by JiU, and she even did some composition and arrangement of the song, along with LEEZ and Ollounder. Dear was also the ringtone JiU had for her mother (or vice versa), as revealed in her IDOL FAMILY video on the NADOL channel. The whole video is a sweetness overload to boot~

One of my favourite things about Break The Wall is still that for the last chorus, Gahyeon got to sing the same part Siyeon was singing in the first two choruses. Truly a group of 7 main vocals.

During Break the Wall ... "Did she leave a footprint" - Yes. The wet footprints on the stairs, Siyeon's print on the paper, and Gahyeon's orange fox prints when kicking all correspond with the lyric "Leave deep tracks."

Whenever I have a hard day, if I listen to "Trust Me" and "Dear" I instantly feel enveloped in the sweetest, most comforting embrace and feel so safe. I am not into ballad-catcher before, I like it, but not repeat as much as rock-catcher songs. but here I am for I think 4 or 5 times, enjoying Dear together with you two. yeah, Dreamcatcher can't made a bad song. wonderful, gorgeous, angelic voices, the piano, lyric. I am glad to found Dreamcatcher, and thank you for this Dreamcatcher's discography journey. I fall deeper into this amazing group.

Can't get you out of my mind is one of my favorite Dreamcatcher songs (which is difficult since they only have bops) but there's no way to explain the feeling of listening to it live. It is literally life changing. I hope you guys have the chance to see them in concert soon 'cause I promise it'll be unmatched!!!

Heads up on the next album, for the Poison Love special clip, although it doesn't really have lyric subtitles, be sure to turn on the subtitles as they are used for a different purpose on that video that's essential. Reminder for my previous heads up for Wind Blows, do the Genie Music Play Color dance video and in the interest of awesomeness, I suggest to double up and also include the relay for Wind Blows as well in addition to the Odd Eye relay.

What you said about the "uplifting" messages in this album: For the trilogy of title tracks at least, I always felt like in _Scream_ they are the victim ("Please I don't want to scream") and then in _BOCA_ they decide "Actually no, _I_ will take on the role of the protector, and shut the mouths of the haters", and then in _Odd Eye_ there unfortunately isn't a happy ending. And then they did the same with the Apocalypse trilogy of title tracks: In _MAISON_ they are the victim, singing "Please someone fight for us", and in _VISION_ they again become the protector who will fight to protect us. And _BONVOYAGE_ again isn't a true happy ending, but it's a little more hopeful. If all these message extent to the b-sides on the album, I don't know. I love that you are always trying to find a connecting theme in the albums though. Whether it was put there on purpose or not. I suppose _BOCA's_ message of them fighting to protect us fits with this theme of lifting us up; but then again, the previous album had _Scream_ , but also had songs like _Tension_ which were definitely uplifting. But I think that's Dreamcatcher's theme overall. Whether they're protecting us from nightmares, or hateful words, or climate change, that's what traditional dream catchers do: Protect us from evil.

dami is credited on break the wall too, i think she wrote her verse? it's easily one of their best b-sides. also, can't get you out of my mind is such a fun concert song. like, super nostalgic. one of my fav moments

Next album has a b-side, Wind blows, that has a dance video, a dance practice and a relay, up to you which one you choose to react to.

The good thing about being InSomnia is all members are everyone's favorite Even all the members act like there is sad music playing in the background when someone talks about HanDong during that period

JiU wrote Dear and I feel like the lyric is also what I (will) feel towards her. melt by her gaze, despite I never meet dreamcatcher, and if I could, her smile will trigger me to smile too and I might forget what I wanna say. also I like how they have full English song (cgyoomm) before English version song (with BonVoyage), bcs the arrangement, syllables, tone of pronounciation are in sync smoothly.. sometimes English version need something to be forced to match the meaning, like changing syllables count or having different vocal letter that change the feel of the song, both tempo or audio experience

Nobody is prepared. Others told it, but yes definitely consider to watch Break The Wall live performance. They just stand there and sing, but they do the "wall" thing in a very interesting way. Can't get you out of my mind is an extremely good song. They sang it perfectly, as always. The music is superb, however when I listen to it, I always feel that it'd been interesting to make it harder and heavier in instrumental parts at least. Not a musician myself, so can't test it, but some other of their songs did had heavier official rearrangements and they worked perfectly.

When DC came back to the states for their 1st live tour after COVID, their 1st show was at NYC. while, we were anticipating the usual intro + opening title track drop... they casually walked out from the back w/ 'CGYOOMM" playing and no i wasn't crying, just that my eyes were sweating lol... the only show they opened w/ CGYOOMM or a Bside. that's how they said "We've all gone through some shit but we're good now!"

Dear is Jiu's song. A message for Insomnia. CGYOOMM, that's how I'm going to type. Interpret how you want, it doesn't really matter. To me, all DC songs are either "you can do it" or "fight for it" or " i love you my fans" or "thank you my fans". That's just how i hear it. Anyway, another great album but without Handong. Next album, we will be back ot7. Also, after all this album go through, you should react to Primavera concert on Primavera channel itself. I am not sure if they will block it or not. But it's fun and they nailed it. Gained a lot of fans from Spain with it.

For some added context that I haven't seen anyone say yet, Dystopia: Lose Myself was their first comeback after the start of covid which meant they never got to see insomnia in person for any of the promotions for it. Also, while Dystopia: The Tree of Language was the first comeback without Handong, they knew that her obligations for the show in China was going to mean a comeback without her and had the time to plan around that somewhat. Lose Myself was the first comeback that they had no choice about it because Handong had been stuck in China due to covid and there was a lot of worry when she would ever be able to come back. So with all of that said, I think your interpretation of the whole mini-album having a kind of sub-theme of reassurance and support is spot-on since Dreamcatcher and insomnia were missing each other and they wanted to say even if we can't be together for now, things are going to be ok.
