Dreame L30 Ultra Unboxing

I had trouble finding information on this robot vaccum so I decided I'd do an unboxing video to start. Sorry for the quality and lack of editing. I didn't have much time and this was the best I could do on my phone. If I do further videos I will use my DSLR.

hey there, do you know if the l30 will work in Australia? thinking about ordering off amazon ( US version) but ive heard they have region locks or something? and here in aus are only aloud to buy the l20 in white.. not black unfortunately

The hardware is identical. Slightly different settings in firmware to boost suction power a tiny bit and allow the use of the hot water which is disabled in firmware in the L20 due to licensing restrictions in the US.

I figured that was the case for the suction power, but the hot water thing doesn't make any sense. First off why would hot water have to be licensed? Second if it does then why is it licensed on the L30 and not the L20? Why would Dreame pay to have the hardware installed for that on the L20 and not use it? That doesn't make any sense man.

So, just a tiny bit more suction power + hot water mop washing? That's the whole thing?? And they call it L30 Ultra already??? The colour is nice though.

Yea that's what I said too. I think there are more features on it though than that VS the L20. It's just that Dreame hasn't done a good job marketing it and it's hard to filter through the marketing fluff to find out. For instance one difference I just found is the voice features. It kind of has its own voice activation but it will also work with Alexa, Google, Bixby, and etc. I don't think that's something the L20 has.

and I thought the x30/L30 is suppose to have a hair cutting thing on the vacuum roller/brush. Also, that they bring out the L20 without hot water like the x20 and now the L30 has hot water but not the UV desinfection like the x30... it just does not make sense dreame.
