This song has so many memories, bittersweet ones, when I was 17 years old and it was in the charts at the time and I bought it on vinyl, my first ever serious relationship was coming to an end, I was the one that ended it and hurt him badly which I have never forgiven myself for 32 years on, I cried buckets full of tears every time I walked past him in the street, he was a good guy and treat me right, I cared deeply for him but my love for him had died and a one sided relationship will never work, so after listening to this song after so so long, tonight, it has brought all the memories flooding back, good, bad and very sad, sorry for the boring corny story, I'm getting nostalgic in my old age lol x

I was a LIMO driver and drove Patti home from ATLANTIC CITY to her home in Philadelphia and she told me to come in her house and I waited and she came our in her pajamas and was like a little child, I seen her perform and her image changed while singing like magic, I believe she transformed into something very magical and I was mesmerized.
