Dreamin´ Wild is an album that the brothers Donnie (Casey Affleck) and Joe (Walton Goggins) Emerson recorded as teenagers in 1979 without much commercial success. Almost 30 years later, the brothers are surprised to learn from music executive Matt Sullivan (Chris Messina) that the album has been embraced by a new generation of fans, and that critics are calling it a masterpiece of teenage artistic expression. But Matt’s passion for the brothers’ music crashes into the ghosts of musical prodigy Donnie’s past and the complexities of his present life as a father and struggling business owner with his wife, Nancy (Zooey Deschanel). Music, love, family, guilt, and the unforeseen burden of resurfaced dreams intertwine in this captivating true story.

So disappointed this never got a release in Canada. I've been waiting for this film for years and Lionsgate marketing fumbled the bag of what could have been a huge underground hit. Instead this great story will be lost to the doldrums of streaming services, ironically like the original album itself.

@@deniseg812 and studios wonder why they lose so much money. This should have been an early fall release and with the release calendar opening up due to the strike it would have been in a prime spot to make back its budget+, instead of being buried during Blockbuster season.

First time I heard "Baby" was on the movie Celeste and Jesse Forever ❤ INSTANTLY, it became a favorite. I'm a music lover and a movie lover. I wish ‘Dreamin’ Wild’ was being showcased in more than just select theaters. Here in Washington state it’s only playing in two locations… on an island that you can only get to by ferry boat… in the same town… with only a 7pm showing… 100 miles away from me. I’m fricken annoyed beyond words. I’m a huge Casey Affleck and Zooey Deschanel fan, and these genre of films are my absolute favorite. I WANTED YOU TO TAKE MY MONEY, LIONSGATE!!! But it’s too damn far away!!!

Considering the story is set in Washington that is despicable. Lionsgate marketing & distribution should be ashamed of how they handled this film.

I'm praying it's a sleeper and they will release it closer to the Oscars. I watched Out of the Furnace the other day. Casey is a great actor. He should be seen more.
