I love that they included Megamind. From what I can tell, it doesn’t seem like he has a track, so it’s almost like he’s a special guest even though he’s owned by Dreamworks like the rest. A character put in because the devs knew that people really like him 👍🏻

Okay, this is the only Mario Kart Clone I actually wanna play, the attention to detail is remarkable. They went out of their way to give characters unique interactions and everything, I think I might get this game lol

@@metalhydramon7093⁠ I heard people singing the praises of CTR until it got some nasty monetization schemes some time after launch, did they ever go back on them? There’s another that is popular in Korea I was keenly curious about but they make every single entry pay to win. People shouldn’t use the term MK clone, it makes competing kart racers sound inferior and less likely for folks to check them out. There’s zero reason to give Nintendo a monopoly, specially when other developers have shown they can sometimes make something that is more than a "clone." Games like the Sega All Stars Racing titles and Blur stood tall against the MKs of their time.

There are so many characters that would be fun to see in this game. Prince Charming, the Bergen Chef, Tai Lung, Death from Puss in Boots, Dubois from Madagascar 3, Metro Man, as well as so many movies that havent been represented yet, like Road to El Dorado, Shark Tale, Flushed Away, Turbo, Bee Movie, Monsters vs Aliens and Rise of the Guardians. Hell could you imagine they put Ramses and Moses from Prince of Egypt in here?

The roster is good, I would have liked Monster vs Aliens and Captain Underpants to appear. Although Farquaad is the only DreamWorks villain in the game. I hope he goes to see DLC and we see other villains like Tai Lung or Chantel Dubois or Tighten or Death.

Galactic Sky is one of the best looking tracks in the game. I love how the song in the track sounds similar to Rainbow Road in Mario Kart. The track itself gives me road Rainbow Road as well.

13:10 It was cool how the characters interacted like that. That was a good touch. It would be nice if they added more interactions like that and more stage based voice lines where the characters make comments based on what track their on. That would add more immersion. Cool looking game!

Very solid roster, definitely missing another megamind character and there are a lack of villains but still a very solid roster overall Edit: some of the voice acting seems very stiff is my only issue with the game from what im seeing, this game even has its own semi rainbow road like track which is a win in my book

@bonedude1286 I'm gonna be honest, when I'm playing kart racers I usually am listening to music with headphones (except mario kart, gotta hear those music tracks) so once I get this game, that won't bother me any thankfully. There are a couple of characters though that just do not sound right either, but the gameplay looks good atleast

The excessive hollering and forced yells are pretty off-putting but overall the VAs are alright especially King Gristle, King Julian, Puss, and Donkey but whoever's voicing Hiccup is drowning or something

As far as I know, trolls are together with other racers, as they are the organizers of the race. You can see Poppy with Shrek, for example.

Lord Farquuad seems to be the best stats wise imo but we’ll see (Still not even sure what Charisma does yet) Edit- After Looking Back, I predict it’s gonna come down to Lord Farquuad or Tina Templeton or Astrid as Meta Characters depending on if Turbo is the best stat to have compared to Speed.

Yeah, the ideas for DLC are endless. There's so many characters and tracks they could implement in the game, like they can make Jack Horner and Ruby Gillman playable plus have tracks based on The City from Megamind or Rumpelstiltskin's Far Far Away from Shrek Forever After.

These replies are wrong..they're in the Rally Edition, meaning if you purchase it, you get them immediately when the game officially comes out November 3rd! although the two characters together are a separate purchase also.

Here's a ranking for all these characters in the same style as Schaffrillas's Mario Kart characters ranking: F Tier: 22. Tina Templeton 21. The Boss Baby D Tier: Honestly, no one. C Tier: Also Nobody (2021). B Tier: 20. Bridget 19. King Gristle (To be honest, if characters like Poppy and Branch were racers, there's a good chance that him and Bridget would be down a tier. The lack of actual Trolls as racers do make those two's inclusion more interesting.) 18. Fiona 17. Astrid 16. Kitty Softpaws 15. Master Shifu 14. Tigress 13. Donkey 12. Master Oogway (Oh yeah, there's also DLC.) A Tier: 11. Hiccup 10. Alex 9. Shrek (This character does have a bit of a Mario situation where the fact he's 100% garunteed does make his inclusion less interesting so he loses points in the ranking. But unlike Mario, the fact he didn't originate from gaming doesn't make playing as him as much of a boring choice.) 8. Puss in Boots 7. Po 6. Lord Farquaad S Tier: 5. King Julien 4. Death 3. I don't get why add some random characters from Trolls and Boss Baby? There were so many better picks and fan favorites that everyone knows. (Perrito, Marty, Toothless...)

Well, Trolls is a pretty big franchise, lots of people know them and even love them. Yeah, it's kinda weird that they added Bridget and Gristle, as they are kind of secondary characters, but actually every racer is supported by trolls as as far as I know they are organizing the race. Let's just have patience, maybe they'll keep adding new racers as nowadays games love DLCs and season passes. Just look at what Disney's doing with their racing game, I don't think that DreamWorks wouldn't want to be left out.

Honestly? This feels like it has so much more heart than any mariokart game I've played. The lines with characters calling each other out by name, the voice lines overall, the visuals are so amazing!!

It's just that their taste is terrible, the voices are strange and don't sound clean, when they speak the track's theme sound is muffled, Mario kart 8 deluxe is better, these clones are real shit

I can't believe that Lord Farquaad the first villain of Shrek franchise will be playable in the dreamwork all star racing even though he died by the dragon twice (the first movie and the 4d in other words shrek 4d). Also question will it come to switch.

They haven't referenced Over The Hedge in any of their media really since the film released. The only reason I can think of for why is an expired license since Over The Hedge wasn't their own original creation. It was a comic strip.

I know that unfortunately, this probably will fly under the radar compared to gamemill's other game theyre working on at the moment, but I gotta say this looks actually enjoyable! The graphics aren't triple A levels but I've honestly seen way worse, and the voice acting is definitely commendable, plus at least they have voice acting, NASB 1 couldn't say the same in the beginning. The fact they actually have unique lines for specific characters is really cool! Not a lotta mainstream kart games do that nowadays and this is even more cool since they're dreamworks characters. I do hope we get at least 4 more characters, preferably b.o.b, eep, jack frost and ruby gillman! I would adore She-Ra but that'd be a legal nightmare unfortunately. Looks like tons of fun, but I'm not sure I'll be able get it day 1 since the gaming list is awful huge this time of year, especially with Mario Wonder and Sonic SuperStars
