Have you seen the video of Matt Mattson getting 6lbs of gold there in a season? Was only a few exits from there. Great treasure hunter. He is still my favorite. You got me going now, I gotta make a trip, before the waters get too warm there. Without a dredge, classifying quick and bringing home buckets of all fines to work later is key. I just use dollar store wire trash bins, sometimes doubled up and a five gallon bucket and small shovel. I can go through about as much as a small dredge this way and do the fine part at home.

Nice that you don’t have so much black sand. Good video. Keep it rolling.

It’s the weirdest place I’ve ever been! The gold is great and you would expect to find a lot of black sand but there is none but there is a lot of Cinnabar but I think that is pretty darn cool. Thanks for watching! I like your channel! I Gotta make it over your way sometime

Dole bar is very good. Always did well there even with a pan. Got several small pieces like you showed every pan, when on it. I have diagrams of gold line there, if you can ever get allowed to go. Last few times I went, No one is allowed there anymore because of city law. They said people weren't filling in holes. Just an excuse if you ask me from power hungry politicians, with crooked interests of their own. Screw them! I used to spend hundreds there every trip with family along! Everyone Should complain to city of Myrtle Creek. Enjoy watching you, but watch your posture, you are young and you will get back like mine working so crunched over all the time and lifting heavy things bent over.

Hey William any chance of you sharing that diagram. We came up a couple weeks ago just waiting on the river to get right if the rain ever stops lol. Anyway if you can I certainly would appreciate it and I’d owe ya one. Thanks

I have done that same trick with a cat o 9 tail to plug the hole in the header box. Nice first clean up. Dredging underwater is the best. Pretty good cons.😎⛏⛏🔥🔥

I would get that mercury away from the gold as soon as you see it because it Will engulf your gold and you will only have mercury covered gold in no time. It's a bit of a pain to separate it. I've not done it personally because I live in England and to my knowledge there isn't any. I would go and dredge or drywash the place you got your bucket from then bring the cons back to clean up. Saves moving loads of material for no reason. With that result it would be much easier to find a load more than having to Carry the dredge in and out of that valley. People don't realize how much work goes into dredging,they must think it gets itself there and all you gotta do is suck the gravel up👍 I'm very good friends with the pirate dredger if you have heard of him? Subscribed to see more great gold. I'm a prospectors too so you might want to subscribe to me for some interesting videos. Must admit I haven't done much prospecting this year because of the garden and breeding animals but have videos of them if that interests you.👍 heavy pans😁💚💛❤

Is it legal to dredge in Oregon? We had to go to just across the border in Idaho to be able to use our bigger dredge, I thought all the west coast states had a ban on dredging for some EPA crap. Wish we could find bedrock like that! Our claims are hard to access at the bottom of canyons and I cannot even guess at the bedrock under the surface. We've made 15'+ punches below the creek surface level. Hit a really hard silica hard pack that goes for 10+ feet deep, and slowly gets softer and chalkier white. Starts out pure iron brick red at the top and we need a water jet and hammers to break it up. Heading out in less than a month and getting excited.

Great to spend the day outdoors with family and get gold! Noticed there were not a lot of fines in the clean up. Is that indicative of the creek or are they not being captured? I don't dredge so curious about capture rate of dredge.
@pnwprospecting3 жыл бұрын
Not as much fines as you would expect. I didn’t mention it in the video but the part that I use for adjusting the angle on my box was having some issues but I’m pretty sure my capture rate was still really high. Issue has been fixed and a new pump will be on the dredge by fall

Others are closed or their use is limited by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) because of water quality problems.” Link for a map showing the rivers that we can and cannot maps.dsl.state.or.us/esh/ If you would like to learn more about this you can also go by armadillo Mining there in grants Pass and they will be more than happy to explain what rivers you can still run your motors in Can’t help you with paperwork for new claims as well as the permit if you plan on moving more than 50 yd.³ of material
