Seeing that mud pit like that brought back nightmare memories of when I was 5 or 6 years old and walking farm fields at my grandparents. I was with my new dog and fell into a pit like that some waterline guys had left filled with mud, but covered over. I was up to my chest in goop and the dog went crazy and ran back to get my dad and grandpa (they definitely knew something was wrong!) and it took four people with ropes to get me out. I lost my pants, brand new cowboy boots, and I was nearly frozen. If it had been any deeper - I probably would have died.

Another nice job Chris! The pond is actually a good size, excepting the lack of depth, but if it works for the owner, that’s all that matters!! I think I would be putting up a fence around the borrow pit!! A person gets in a hurry because all heck is breaking loose elsewhere and drive right into it! Easy mistake to make. There’s 10+ ft of mud before bottom!! Just enough to keep livestock out as well, if necessary. Sure is a pretty pond, with the trees and location!! We just don’t have that many trees in my area and where they do exist, it can be hard to find a suitable location for a pond that doesn’t need to be lined with clay, or a full pond liner!! Not many can spend well over $1 million like BamaBass did!! 😂. Ouch!! Now that you talked about it, I’m looking forward to the job you have in conjunction with Justin!! 😊😊 Take care & stay safe, Eh!
