This is the only video that told what to do on the roof. I have a 1994 Fleetwood American Eagle and I am debating with myself whether to go through the roof or one of the windows. Thank you so much for showing so much more than anyone else! I have it permanent on my property but I feel bad cutting into a perfectly great roof but it helps so much to know what the process looks like.

I think perhaps it is a good idea to use lock washers locktite or nylock nuts on everything since the whole thing will vibrate a lot while being on the road.

Thanks for posting you stove installation, excellent video. I just recentry purchased a 1968 Avion C-11 Ultra slide in truck camper. I'll be removing the old original gas furnace and installing a home made solid fuel stove for heat, coal wood etc. I've had similar stoves on sailboats that burn charcoal, it important that the stove drafts properly for it to be safe. Thanks Sonny P.

Stove looks great and I cant wait to see how well it performs in the trailer! I gotta tell you thoygh I cringed as you put the hole in the roof. I have an old jayco trailer with a flat roof, and its a nightmare. Seal the crap outta the edges of that boot, and make sure you angle the trailer to get the water off that roof every time it rains.

Very nice and cosy. Maybe just one hint: it is a good idea to make a separate air intake for stove directly from outside. The reason is that if the stove will take air from inside of the trailer it will create slight under-pressure. The result is that a cold outside air will be sucked into trailer through any crack or opening. It will not only slightly decrease the effectivity of heating but first of all it can be felt when sitting inside.

Great video. The installation looks good and sound. There’s something to be said about building up something yourself that takes you places. I can certainly see the attraction of installing a wood burning stove. I considered one myself in a cargo truck conversion. I installed a Espar D2 diesel heater instead. I tend to be on the move which makes a wood burning stove impractical for me as a primary heat source.

At first when I saw your stove pipe coming out the top I thought to myself "that ain't gonna last driving down the road" so thanks for your clarification at the end. I suppose its not that much work to throw the pipe on when you arrive to your destination - at least once you consider the benefit you will get from the heat!

Loving Eddie. I’ve been watching your entire build on this and was wondering if you ever found something to cover the gap between your window and the frame? A company in Canada called Phantom Screens makes an aluminum track for one of their screen windows that would fit perfectly in there. If you ever make it over there, it comes in black and it’s from their old screen window model. Just ask for Phantom Vision track from their screen window

I thought you said something about fresh air intake for the stove as part of wall bracket or chimney bracket? Please elaborate or show us a short clip. Or did I misunderstand? That is a great little stove. What a thoughtful gift from the in-laws. My guess is your wife is quite attentive to your project and listens when you share your dreams and plans. Lucky man.👍 Oh, what length wood fits in the Grizz? Looks like maybe 12"? That'd be ideal. Looking forward to seeing the weight. It was going to be on next video but I got anxious to see the woodstove up and running so I think I have to backtrack. Going to take a wild stab at the weight. It really is a guess though cuz many items like even the roof membrane, I have no idea the weight. One thing sure, I liked your sturdy frame with lots of extra outlier support. That will up the weight but add to its sturdiness under tow and loads with full fresh water etc. So prior to stove install I'm going to guess... aluminum rims right?..15"?..3500 lb axle I think 👍..going to say 1250 lb when you scaled it?

I don’t think I would have located it just inside the door- seems like a spot where it will be in the way and your likely to get burnt. Also, I would avoid putting holes in the roof if at all possible as your just asking for future problems - I would have put it out through a wall. Great videos, I really like watching it all come together. Thanks
