A few years ago my Dr was wanting to put me on a Statin, instead I listened to Dr Berg's advice (and a few other, Dr. Shaun Baker, Dr. Berry, Dr. Saladino, Thomas Delauer), I not only have no need to take a medication anymore but I lost 40lbs, and improved my cholesterol markers and testosterone markers, which my own Dr. Doesn't understand how I can improve those without his help😂

Your Dr was just angry that he wasn't able to milk your insurance anymore. They don't like when you are educated on natural cures. They want to pump you with all kinda meds that'll make more illnesses come out . The money is in the medicine, not the cure. Congrats to you for recovering naturally

I've had high blood pressure for all of my life and did my best to cut out salt because that's what everyone recommended. My blood pressure never went down. Then, for an unrelated reason, I went on the keto diet and my blood pressure plummeted to normal levels, even as I started to add more salt back into my diet. Dr. Berg's information has been a life changer in my understanding of nutrition.

My doctor tried to get me to take diuretics for my high BP and I refused knowing that it would deplete me of potassium. My potassium level was teetering on the low side anyway and I refused the prescription. When I asked about potassium pills she told me that potassium was dangerous! I knew better and immediately ordered Dr Bergs electrolyte drink mix. And my BP started dropping almost immediately. Went on Keto, lost 12 pounds within 6 weeks. His advice is lifesaving.

Stay away from Gatorade and ANY sugar drinks. You worked outside and your body is craving Potassium. Ya see how you craved salt yet you've got high BP? And your taught your diet has to much sodium which is why you have high BP, and you worked outside in hot elements for years? Because your body thirst for Potassium AND the high BP comes from too much carbs/sugar. Dr. Berg has several videos on this. I highly recommend looking them up. You'd be amazed!

I found through watching your other videos about potassium that I had become very sensitive to my requirement for Potassium. At nearly 69 years old I’ve never had a blood pressure problem until recently. Now, where I routinely take 5000 mg of potassium in divided doses throughout the day, I have no problems. Sodium is difficult to measure (2300 mg) since it’s so prevalent but in the normal course of my days if I take less than 5000 mg K+, I do have elevated blood pressure. I had to remind my alternative doctor (that I do EDTA chelation therapy with) of the sodium potassium pump! Thank you for all you do! 💖🙋‍♀️🇨🇱

I do not fully believe I am one of those who should eat 10g/day; there's enough people online that claim the 5g is too little and they have had the same positive reactions I have had on taking 10-15g/day. Odd thing is, I don't get really thirsty from 10-15g salt, I want some more water, but not twice as much as usual?_* ---> *_Spreading out the salt intake is a good idea, I also have a crack of sea salt in my morning coffee; this has several benefits well worth a Dr.Berg video._* *_This is on Healthy Keto Diet With Intermittent Fasting or Carnivore Diet with Intermittent Fasting. I started adding potassium chloride to the water I drink and I can notice a huge difference in how I feel. I used to have unexplained heart palpitations and since I started adding potassium chloride to the water I drink the heart palpitations have COMPLETELY disappeared. I always had plenty of sodium in my diet, but I could never eat near enough fruits and vegetables to hit 4000mg of potassium a day. Adding potassium chloride to my water is an easy way to get the right amount of potassium my body needs. I’m hoping it will help with my blood pressure too which tends to be on the higher side more often than not.

crazy he made this video today. My blood pressure went wild last week to 160/90 from normal BP. I suspected it was low potassium since I was essentially doing carnivore with A LOT of a salt haha. Added potassium this week from supplementation alongside beet greens and spinach in a smoothie and back to normal. My BP does spike after meals though (assuming from the sodium). However, I suspect as I stabilize my potassium levels, these spikes will level off. Fasting BP back to normal now. Thank you for confirming my theory with this video! BTW, doctor never even asked about diet or recent lifestyle changes, just gave me BP medication. Useless....

I hope people don’t take the info in this video out of context. Our bodies need salt but the key is to balance it out with potassium. You still don’t want to exceed the daily recommended salt amount which is what a lot of Americans do. Too much salt can cause or worsen cardiovascular, bone and neurological diseases.

I use Morton Lite salt. It’s a mixture of sodium chloride and potassium chloride. It’s still salty and it gives a nice balance of sodium and potassium.

I use one with brand name "No Salt" that's primarily potassium chloride. A few other things, but no NaCl. I still get plenty of sodium from soy sauce, restaurants, etc.

after living the first 50 years of my life, another well known and reputable Dr on here "convinced" me through his videos that I should have at least a little bit of salt each week. About 2 years ago, I started using Redmond Real Salt and surprisingly, it only took me a few weeks to get used to the taste. I use it 2-4 times a week on the Carnivore diet. How does Redmond compare to the Baja Gold, in your studies? The carnivore diet has me healthier internally than I have been since I was a kid with all aspects where they need to be except my BP. That continues to be a battle.

Lost 32lbs in 1 week with carnivore fasting, but then plateaued for 5 days. Suspected excess salt, so did a 36-hour hard dry fast with light exercise. Dropped 8lbs after the fast, and weight stayed low after rehydrating. Will do another hard dry fast if needed. Thanks, Dr. Berg! 😊

@JamalGetRight

@@avz1153salt, potassium and magnesium in water. The best one is ‘snake juice’ but you can also make it yourself for cheaper, with the right ingredients. Plus i take an ‘ox bile’ supplement which completely solves the issue of nausea. I do low fat carnivore when I’m not fasting, and that solves any issues of cravings, because there’s no carbs. All in combination I’m loosing weight like crazy, and it’s not even that hard anymore :)

I definitely feel like sometimes that I do consume too much salt. Especially when it comes to things plantain chips, which I should be cutting out my diet. Because I feel like it also makes me hypoglycemic. I really started paying attention to salt the last two years. Went from buying sea salt to trying himalayan salt. To going back to regular table salt but with iodine because they said that's really good for your thyroid.

I sprinkle a little organic kelp granules on my food everyday for iodine. The label says salt alternative. I got it from Amazon, I would think it may be for sale at a health food store. I do use Himalayan salt.

There are many great way to get iodine. Iodized table salt is not one of them.
@campbellpaul

The Himalayan salt has additional benefits over table salt and sea salt, as it is free of plastics and anti-caking agents. Organic kelp and organic seaweed (nori) are good alternatives for trace iodine. Potassium chloride (sold as "salt substitute") is a good way to balance your sodium intake while consuming less carbs in the process (I totally sound like AI, but I'm not lol).

Dr. Berg please help me. I understand that taking 4700 mg of potassium is good for you. That will be 3 times 18 tablets of 99 mg. My question is when do you take them? Can you take them on a empty stomach? When is the latest time you can take potassium? Will it interfere with your sleep? Thank you doctor❤

I found that it wasn't the amount of salt in my diet, but what type of salt that was detrimental. I haven't used iodized salt in years and I avoid high sodium drinks like Gatorade and Powerade. I take a kelp supplement for potassium iodide. The iodine used in table salt is not healthy. I also take a GNC men's multivitamin and 25mg of DHEA every day. I cook with and drink distilled water. I'll be 47 next month and I can still ride my skateboard at the skatepark, play basketball or any other physical activity I've enjoyed through the years.
