I would recommend at least 1 tsp. of lemon juice or the lemon from half a lemon in your water (12 ounces). I consume it with apple cider vinegar (1 tbs), which is also added to the water. I also drink it with a straw. Add a few drops of stevia to make it even better - a lemonade type drink with a spicy spike.

My great Grandma lived to be 102...many years before that, my mother asked her what she did in a daily basis, and her reply was she drank hot lemon water every morning! She's someone who went through the dust bowl/Depression & had 13 children... probably her years could be attributed to other factors (trusted God, positive cheerful attitude, maintained the same weight)...but, I would say that lemon water was a big factor🍋🥛👍

I've been drinking lemon water for a few years and very seldom get colds. I had gout in my foot once and my Dr was not available, so I remembered that lemon water becomes alkali in the body. So, I increased the amount of lemon juice, to 20ml plus, in a glass of warm water and drank that 3 times or more a day. By the 3rd day my gout had completely disappeared and has not returned up to now. It had been really bad. I only use bottled lemon water, as the lemons get old too quickly. I bought a lime tree a few years ago, and it has started bearing fruit. This year more than last year. I truly believe in lemon water and tell as many people as I can about the benefits.

His thighs are about the diameter of my forearms, and he can barely walk. I keep trying to get him to walk more but he doesn't do it. He probably walks maybe 100 feet per day and just sits all the time. Watching him is a lesson in what NOT to do as you age. I wish my dad were more like you.

We have a lemon tree and have have frozen lemon juice into ice cubes. These are great to add to water if you want less concentrated lemon water since it dissolves over time. This is one way to always have fresh lemon water, even when your tree is not producing fruit (or the store doesn’t have lemons, which is often in New Zealand).

Just recently noticed that most Lemons sold in the shops are waxed. I was about to pick up a pack of Lemons when I noticed another shelf with the label "unwaxed" Lemons. I immediately googled to know the difference and it said: "To preserve the freshness of the skin, most citrus fruit is soaked, washed and waxed before packing. Waxed and unwaxed lemons are available. Unwaxed lemons are ideal for slicing and adding to drinks or using as a garnish and when the zest is required. If a recipe uses lemon juice waxed lemons are the best choice." I then realised I'd be drinking wax which may be the reason I'd been having stomach problems

I started in order to get my slow digestion going, and it made my already sensitive teeth more sensitive. I didn’t want the acid to wear down my enamel either. So I switched to swallowing a spoonful of olive oil, then used an eye dropper to drip lemon water directly into the back of my tongue and throat. Then rinsed my mouth. No more sensitivity! And a bonus is that it prevents a stuffy nose, sore throat, and post nasal drip. I find I do not need to drink a whole glass of lemon water for that.

I'm 47 yo and haven't felt this great in over 20 years! I went from 230 lbs and am down to 218 lbs (last I was weighed last week). Thank you Dr. Berg for all your advice! I'm definitely adding lemon juice into my regiment now. No carbs and no sugar is key.

Is anyone else binge watching Dr. Berg vids? I’ve been intermittent fasting 16-18 hrs for about the last 10 -11 days, and taking the supplements and eating the foods Dr. Berg suggests. I am amazed that the swelling and heaviness in my legs and feet has pretty much disappeared as has the bloating …and I’ve lost about 4lbs…! Best of all, I am not hungry, some days I can go 23 hrs without eating…until I get hungry. Going to quit the lemon concentrates and buy a bag of lemons and a bag of limes instead.

@@renasmile The reason why Doctors don't suggest natural cures like this has to do with so many being worried about being sued for doing something that the other doctors are not doing. That means in legal terms doing something less than the generally accepted standard of care. example- patient has stones and Dr says lemon water every day. Patient's stones persist with continued pain as it can take a while to dissolve all of them. After a few weeks the patient is told by someone that my Dr did surgery and got my stones and I only had 1 day of pain. So now this patient is feeling like the Dr has put him or her through excess suffering and should sue the Doctor. In todays legal and medical system the Dr would loose even though surgery is far more dangerous because it could be shown that relief could be gotten much quicker. Only doctors that are independent of hospitals and insurance plans would offer nutrition and more natural methods of help.

@@duanecato5100 Yeah I'm going to make it more of a habit to keep them flushed out. I definitely *wasn't ready* for them and was so *dehydrated* the pain was unbearable. I'm sure it wouldn't have been as bad if I were more hydrated. Projectile vomited from the pain 😂 couldn't hold anything down. We almost thought it was appendicitis. Went to *ER* at 11am. Was about to go get food with my mother, all was fine. My stomach started feeling upset/hurting. Was expecting it to pass instead it went from barely anything to harsh pain over the course of 15 minutes. Drove myself to the ER because my intense rubbing of the stomach only barely helped haha.. took ibuprofen didn't help either. *I was so dehydrated they gave me 2 bags fluids* through IV and eventually . *morphine* The morphine kicked in quickly and helped for a very brief minute. No really a couple minutes. At which point I learned a new thing. *"Pain transference.* Where it's such pain that your body can not process it sends the pain signal somewhere.. new. I ended up yelling at the doctor 😅 *simply explaining* that my right testicle felt like it had been run over. As you could imagine, I emphasized this fact to him a couple times loudly 😂😂 The deladid on the other hand helped where it was *nothing but an ache.* Eventually I fell asleep and was discharged from the hospital at *4pm.* Feeling brand new, no pain. Had to go to Walmart right after, so I had someone pick me up. Embarrassing situation because I feel like I overreacted but how I described the pain is how it felt haha.. *pain transference.* They sent me a prescription to Walgreens, meanwhile. We did our shopping at Walmart and I was so hungry. Remember I was about to go eat breakfast/lunch at 11 before this happened. I grabbed some food at the Walmart. Ate while shopping, was *so hungry.* Probably the Dr*g cocktail that the hospital served up helped with that. As we are leaving the pain comes back slowly, slower than before. I tell my driver we need to go get my pain meds before we take off. Not even 4 minutes in the drive I ask him to pull over. Step out the car maybe *5* feet and projectile vomited 3 times in different directions all the food I just consumed before getting back in and going to the Walgreens... Not having my ID I had to wait for someone to bring their own to pick up the prescription. *After this I drank an unhealthy amount lemon juice/lemon water and a shot of ACV passed easy the next day* Long story short. I had a pain I thought would go away. Pain was very intense shortly after. (I have a high pain tolerance despite this story) Kidney stones don't pass well without fluid. Embarrassingly went to the hospital where I learned *Pain Transference* Long story even shorter *kidney stones suck* The doctor recommended downing a 12 Pack of beer to pass it.

The videos are not only informational but an excellent guide on what to do and why you do to help you firmly get a grasp on the inner workings of what happens to your body when on a ketogenic diet. 3 months in, with zero carbs and zero sugar, intermittent fasting, the introduction of Apple cider vinegar and lemon water on a daily basis, MCT oil, supplements and vitamins and a delicious cake too :D and I've lost 20kgms and still going strong - this is definitely not a fad or a once in a while "thing" but a beautiful change that helps you help your body. I cannot thank Dr. Berg enough for helping me change my life around to a more healthier and sustainable lifestyle. Dr. Berg...Thank you so much!!

Thank you Dr Berg for sharing this helpful information. I’ve been doing this for 6 months without knowing the benefits of it. I squeeze one whole lemon in warm water and drink it all day. I’m turning 67 and feeling great. People said my skin and body look like under 55 and my mental health is also very good. I recommend everyone should drink fresh lemons everyday.

I have high bp and was 50 lbs overweight at 62 .Started watching you and others to reduce my bp and dependance on meds In a little over 4 months i have lost over 40 lbs. and discovered i am really sensitive to salt. With the help of supplements and while on my same meds my bp has went from 145/90 and higher to 120's/60's to70's. And while i am still on meds i am very happy with the results. And my overall health is amazing. I will be 63 in December and still work construction am self employed. I owe it all to you and the internet. While my doctor wanted to up my meds. and said nothing of nutrition other than eat less and watch your salt, i resisted and did my own research.

I was born in rural southern America in 1945 and I remember when I was a kid in the 50s nobody ever went to the doctor unless they were really really sick and hardly anybody ever was. Of course we ate fresh raised food and drink cow's milk and did not live in a stressful World bombarded with idiot politicians and people trying to sell you stuff you do not need. Yes those were the good old days but I would not ever give up my air conditioning and my inside toilet and my refrigerator and washer and dryer and most of all my big screen smart TV hooked to the internet. I still live in Rural America which is almost crime-free but I keep my old 45 close by just in case. This doctor is a very good and unselfish man and if everybody was like him we would have a better world. I drink my lemon water and apple cider vinegar and water everyday and it actually tastes good. I also have a little nip of Jack Daniels every now and then. Hehehe. Thank you doctor for all you do
