I genuinely feel the Scottish castle is related to Dresden's family lineage. I think Marcone is ACTING as the bad guy because that's the only way to manipulate Dresden into protecting Chicago. Since vices aren't regulated, Marcone is the one to relegate these vices and protect addicts and sex workers through being the "big bad". His whole pit is filled with people who crossed that line as in the book with the wolf pelts. I also feel Harry can't stand Marcone because he's too much like his own self and is afraid to fully recognize that. I also wonder if Marcone is also starborn despite being a "normie".

Few things, the Fey weren't in danger of non existence due to being forgotten, they were in danger of losing their access to mortals and the deals they make with them that give them power, they would still however be alive as they do not draw power from people believing in them. Also the Archive can not erase a being from existence after being forgotten for 1000 years, she holds the names of Outsiders and after a certain time has passed if that name is no longer mentioned or written anywhere she erases the memory from herself thus ensuring it can no longer be called into reality but the being still exists. The Gatekeeper also didn't so much as say he would have voted against Harry as he straight up told him he would have killed him had Harry left and gone home after completing the mission the Council gave him to affirm his 'Wizard' status, as voting against him would have meant a death sentence the Gatekeeper saw no reason not to do it himself. I agree that marrying Lara (assuming it happens) will be what breaks the true love protection Harry has, but per Jim true love only effects the Raiths / White Court's that feed off of lust, the ones that feed off of other emotions are affected by different things.

I just finished Battleground audio for the 3rd time and just noticed something...at the end of the book, Butcher goes out of his way to show that Lara is wearing gloves. We all know Harry & Lara have always had chemistry, and as Freydis points out to Harry that Lara likes him and treats him special as compared to other people. I think the thing about the gloves could mean as far as Lara is concerned she has already fallen in love with Harry. Or, I could just be seeing things that I want to...I always liked Murph, but I never though her and Harry really matched as lovers. Lara is a much better match IMO
