Another Aussie here… I legitimately thought this was a joke at first but I think you’ve convinced me that it’s actually a trend?! But over here they are 100% slippers and nobody’s left the house in them since the early 2000s… except for my mum who has a pair of indoor uggs and a pair of outdoor uggs that she wears while she hangs the washing in the morning haha!

I was so glad to see your comment because I live in the US and was literally searching “wearing Uggs as indoor slippers!” They are so warm and cozy and I was like “doesn’t anyone ever just wear indoors?” I realize Ugg sells slippers but I love the minis because they look like they stay on your feet better and cover the top of your foot. We have cold winters here and I haven’t found slippers that I love.

As an Aussie the thing that baffles me about wearing them outside is what if it's raining? Your feet would end up soaked and soggy...? However 100% acceptable to wear them out to grab take away and/or period snacks 💛

As someone who has not been able to re-establish their day to day non working style since pre covid, the whole relaxed but well put together style is absolutely for me! The colours, comfort and smart /casual aspect is great. You look amazing and much more relaxed and comfortable compared to your previous postnatal phase which is lovely to see. I think oversized stuff looks great on you, Lily! And I really like the last dress, although I would wear sheer black tights with it. Also, your hair looks great and very healthy in this video. Love uggs! Been wearing my mini ones to work a few times this winter...dress code allows and they’ve been a godsend for keeping me warm in the office and on my lunch time walk. Your hair looks so glossy and healthy Lily!

Ps with the long black jumper dress at the end, I would wear some sheer black tights rather than socks. You could even go fancy and wear some with dots or hearts on. Just adds another dimension and texture but doesn’t cut your ankle off so you’ve got skin showing between top of sock and bottom of dress.

I'm all for the uggs I love mine and wear them outside ( they're a rather expensive pair of slippers to have in the house) loved the outfits and as a 24 wk pregnant person I appreciate the different looks.

It’s so lovely to see a video encouraging people to wear what they’re comfortable in, not follow styles and trends and just to wear what you like! It’s really refreshing! I would personally pass on the Ugg’s but still watched the full video and really appreciated the outfits (just ignored the shoes) 😂

I like all the outfits on you, especially the one with the black Mango coat and the oatmeal & Other Stories coat I really love those 😍 Also it’s amazing how much a beanie, different bags and sunglasses can change up a look. I’ve had tall grey uggs for prob 15 years now 😂🙊 and being in Scotland I wear them in the winter if it’s snowing and need to walk anywhere. I do love the look of the mini ones but feel I’d be too late to wear them now that hopefully spring is around the corner. Def going to treat myself to a pair of the slippers I think though 😉.

This is given me some great inspo! I have a pair of emu books that I got a few years ago that have a similar vibe to uggs but they are leather so this has given me some great ideas. I'm struggling at the moment due to being pregnant but still wanting to look stylish if I can, obviously comfort is keep for at the moment 😆

These are great wfh outfits, but I personally would never wear Uggs out. The outfit with the dress works but would be better with tights instead of socks. But overall, I think all of the outfits I would prefer with a lug sole boot which would give a similar casual vibe but more polished. Love your ideas and glad you're loving your mini Uggs though ❤️

Ok, 3 things 😀 1. Lily! Omg! Your hair looks SO GOOD. 😍 2. I had a pair of the higher boots from Ugg, years ago. Would consider the mini ones (yes, I’ve checked out all the colours), but wouldn’t buy it now anymore as spring is almost here and it really is a fall/winter item for me 😊 3. The fact that you don’t posted is no big deal at all. We love every video you post and I think generally everyone is just grateful you came back a bit early 😍. The only thing is that if you know a few days or a day up front that there will be no video, I wouldn’t be as dissapointed as to find out the moment I wake up and look forward to a video on Sunday morning 😆. But ofcourse it is every right of you to not post and take a chiller week. Completely agree as we all have those moments. 😇

Hey Lily 🤗 I absolutely love Uggs and I’ve worn them for years and years ☺️ I loved all of your outfits your styled with them - even the dress although I wonder if they’d look better if you couldn’t see the socks but they still looked great. I'm Australian and ugg boots were always something that were seen as being a little bit 'common' if you know what I mean. I bought a pair from a market stall when I was a teenager in the 80s. I feel like they might be back in fashion because things from the early 2000's are back, weren't all the LA celebs wearing them back then, maybe with their juicy couture etc?

Yes, Uggs are definitely banking on the comeback of the 2000s and have made sure they’re widely available again (and worn by certain celebrities here and there). I was not part of the trend back then and certainly will not be this time either. Let’s just say I think they do justice their name.

Australian here as well. The soles on them wear out quickly and lose all grip. I broke my knee cap wearing these when I slipped on tiles.

Hi Lily, I’m a new mom myself and wear slip on moon boots style ( little bit like moon boots x Chloe collab)exclusively this winter. Thermal leggings, nice jumper, moon boots and oversized puffer jacket. All in neutral colours so I don’t need to think about the combination of it. Just simply pulling out the outfit from the tumble dryer and I’m ready to go 😁

Love the idea of Uggs and they were actually being made here in my backyard but we in Fiji could never wear them here coz it’s almost always warm here. But looks cosy so I wouldn’t care what others thought about it, if the weather permitted.

✨ Orgins of the ugg trend - I think Kendall Jenner was photographed wearing them, but in a more post yoga / coffee run kinda way. Anyway I like the mini ugg boot trend, there are cute and cosy, and can be worn with straight leg jeans. As a teenager I always lusted over ugg boots when they were first trendy, never had a real pair though 🙃 P.s there should be a marmite emoji for situations such as this

first of all, i‘m not an ugg fan. i like the knitted dress but would probably wear tights with it, not the short black socks, because they visually break up the leg in an unflattering way i think. feeling comfortable should always be top priority, i agree, but i also think all of the outfits would look better with chelsea boots, trainers, birkenstocks… so other shoes you also have 😅 you asked for our opinion so hope that’s okay 🙈

Yes I agree! I wear long socks with jumper dresses at the moment because I'm pregnant and can't bare the feeling of tights and it's so cosy! I would have worn tights before but now I think I'll stick with the socks 😁

New Zealander here, some people wear uggs to the supermarket but it’s not really socially acceptable. I wear mine to my friends house when it’s winter and I know we are staying in. More then happy for this to become okay to wear out though!

I’m Australian and I have ruined so many pairs of ugg boots by wearing them outside the house in winter (taking the bins out, hanging the washing out etc). Perhaps it’s because I’ve never bought the UGG brand ones? Curious to know how you keep your ugg boots from falling apart? :)

Love Uggs! They are a classic in my wardrobe, though I tend to wear them just at home. I do like to wear my black Ugg boots out when it is cold - for some reason they look less slipper-like when in black. But I adore that ‘antelope’ color on your super mini Uggs. I am loving oatmeal and all shades of taupe lately.

Hearing you say that Australians are saying that people only wear Uggs as slipper is so funny. I lived in Australia a million yers ago (1979-1982) and teenage girls were wearing Uggs with summer dresses and shorts and definitely wearing them out of the house. I guess that's changed! At the time I thought it strange.

Pamela Anderson started the Uggs trend in the 90s & now Kendall Jenner i think I love them & i would style them with or skinny or boyfriend jeans with hoodie & leather jacket. a bit sporty meets grunch meets designer 1 more thing Lilly, you love hoodies (Arket 1 you showed us) then i think you would love the Weekday 1s (they are cotton, playn like no prints or logos, & they come in 13 or 15 colors from warm neutrals to cold neutrals to colors like greens, blues, yellows, red, orange I have 2 , 1 in a darker beige in a Large & 1 in a forest green in a Medium. I bought 2 different sizes yes bc in discription " is oversized " & so i took my normal size which is Large & is perfect The medium i bought on perpus for a lightly more fitted wear. Have them now for i think.... 3y going into 4th y. The wash & size are still like new Highly recommend these Tip for when you are wearing mu but need to put a sweater over your head: a silk scarf, let over ypur head loose, & like that ypu protect your clotes & your mu in 1 go
