Love this Show but some of the comments are a bit off - Drew is doing his job! I think this episode is one of my fave's. I love and miss Amsterdam.

That was a ridiculous find. How cool are the Dutch. The Guy with the Bugatti is a testament to that. Just wondering if you and T jumped on the Truffles. If not you should next time you go on a buying run there. All of a sudden the vans full of unicorns and tacky crap you can’t sell. Point is you learn a lesson and have a good time meet interesting people as Drew would say. 👍

Love this show also, never seen so many antiques I have never seen before in my lifetime, love the “all over the world” travel to find them( which is so worthwhile). Love the buyers taste, know- how, and love for his “eye catcher items, and always ask about the history of them.

Drew a shrewd negotiator? The guy had it priced at 9.5 k, immediately goes down to 6, then to 4.5, even though he knows that Drew really wants it. That’s terrible. I can only assume that he’s had it in his shop for ages and nobody’s buying it because the eyes are weird.

In a collectors prospective, when you buy an exquisite piece of art, you are not intended to sell it right away. Drew is not only a dealer he is also a collector, he loves high end pieces but eventually he has to let it go in order to keep going with his business. I bet Drew adorned it in his house for a while before he displayed at his website for sale. Don't judge ones actions without seeing both sides of a coin. Just saying......

By the way, eyes are wierd because the roman plaster are falling out due to its age. Do you understand when it was made and how many owners put hands on it? It's an "old" antique. Nobody is buying because most likely the clientele that goes to this shop aren't dealers and don't have an "EYE" to distinguish the antique.

I really dont get what the hate is all about, really smh. I mean he is a dealer, he's buying it to resell not to collect so its very natural that he's gonna want the lowest possible price to buy it. I mean this kind of guys has to factor in the cost, shipping, expenses on going there and one more important thing is time. Cause its not that after he buys it he's gonna be able to resell it right away. Good for him if he'll be able to do that but most of the time his money will probably gonna be stuck for a while. So if he didn't factor time he's gonna runout of money. Thats why I really don't get all the hate he's getting. And probably those people who criticize him is either of two, one is never been or dont know any dealer or two is a very naive person who thinks everything is about butterflies, unicorns and happy endings SMH 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@visi1508 what truth? His ripping the sellers? He's not forcing anyone to sell if the seller is firm on the price and his not comfortable he'll make money of the item because of the price he backs off. If the seller agrees then deal what the problem with that? And to the issue of him cheating on his wife. It's a private matter doesn't even relate to him being a dealer and how he is as a dealer. Like I said your either don't know anything or very naive.

Zero Requiem I agree. I don’t understand the hate either. He doesn’t cheat them, he might not give them the price they ask, but that’s the business they’re in. He has given some more than they ask for. If the gripe is with his personal life, that is between him and the other person. I enjoy his videos and have learned a bit.

I completely agree. Majority of people who never owned a business don't have a clue how the buying/ selling works anyways. If they hate so much about the antique business deals, why they keep watching Drew's tv programs? 😂 They probably dream about buying some of these antiquities but have " NO MONEY 💰" that's why they keep watching and bullying. Can you imagine how they might feel if they find out the real value and cost of a diamond 💎 with the price they had paid?

Nijmegen is the largest city in the province of Gelderland by population size, but not by area (that would be Arnhem, or Apeldoorn if you count the municipality). I think they meant to say that it's the *oldest* city in the country.

I can't stand his penny pinching in general but that bust he doesn't deserve to put his grubby hands on. Hundreds of years old that came out of a Turkish museum, stunning bronze anyway but happens to be of Sappho so every lesbian with a few quid would cough up whatever Prichard asks and still the tight bastard has to buy for next to nothing and ensure he makes a larger profit than anyone who touched it since the thing was cast.
