Drew Lynch Gets 1st place in Flapper's Comedy Contest

Drew Lynch has a stutter but its hard to hear over all the laughter! Not only will he make you laugh you will learn how to train a pet with his set. He takes first place and moves on to the Soup or Bowl finals on Dec 28th, 2011 right here at Flappers Comedy Club.
This was Drew's winning set in Uncle Clyde's Comedy Contest Round 6 Week 2 in 2011.

now, i feel like hes much more comfortable with his stutter, and back then he tried very hard to talk normal and seemed out of breath. i like him better now

Due to the stuttering the pacing of the jokes actually comes out really nice. Much love and respect to such an individual who dares to push forward in life despite his severe stutter.

Control his voice better??? He stutters WAY more now, which leads me to believe he is milking his claim to fame a bit. That's perfectly fine with me though, because he's very funny. If he's earning money making people laugh, then good for him.

Walter White He stutters more now because he is more accustomed to forcing words out at a fast pace, which in turn makes him repeat more stuttered sounds during stuttering episodes. This video is pretty close to when he began stuttering so he would likely become fatigued more often with a stutter and he would speak slower.

Just watched Drew lynch on Americas Got Talent ! Absolutely incredible! His story is so touching and his jokes are really really funny!! Absolutely halarious and such a fun guy! I know Ill keep watching! 😁

I've watched this piece dozens of times and just realized that Drew is only 18 or 19 at this time. Really amazing how poised and funny his performance is. If the detractors who say he shouldn't have won over Sero A have ever seen this and his Dog Vlogs as well as his other routines they would see what a gifted young man he is. Also he has (and is) paying his dues as a working, on the road comedian. That's a tough job. I don't know if he's a "Vegas" act but I voted for him, which is something I never have done before, especially for comedians. Just love him. No pity necessary.

It's really amazing how this young man found himself in spite of circumstances of misfortune playing sports. Instead of withdrawing himself from society he embrace a bad thing into a positive. Go Drew Lynch you've earned your place in society don't look back keep moving forward.

So I've watched ALL of Drew's videos he's been in and I can say 100% HIS STUTTER IS NOT FAKE. He once said that his stutter developed over time (somewhere over the course of a week) after the incident, and considering that this and the incident happened 4 years ago, his stutter wasn't as bad as it is now. It just developed more. Also, note that he's talking at a slower pace and taking large breaths. He was trying to not stutter as much, like he said in front of a big crowd. He carried less confidence in himself here then now, which is why people think he was faking his stutter.

Thank you I've been trying to tell people it's real because how would he make up he got hit by a softball and one of his vocals are paralyzed and it would be a world record for faking a stutter for this long and his doctors would probably tell his parents it was fake and he needs to stop and telling drew his stutter is fake is like telling Someone who's legs are paralyzed and they are in a wheel chair they are faking it so THANKS YOU TEAM DREW ALL THE WAYYYY

Aw I love Drew so much, I'm subscribed to his KZfaq channel and he's so funny 😂 I love how he has turned an unfortunate accident in his life into comedy to turn it into a positive. He has definitely helped me get through some really tough times when something happened in my family ❤️😍😘😊😁😆

When he is talking in this video you don't rally hear the stutter as much but it certainly Did develop and he doesn't talk like that anymore but you can obviously hear his stutters. Love ya drew🤗😎🤓😀😄😊🙂🙃☺️😋😉😇😃😂😂🤗😸😸😸😸

Jeez when I saw his Americas got talent stand up I thought he was kinda funny, but was mostly put through because of his stutter. Seeing this he's actually genuinely a really funny talented comedian and I'm definently voting for him this competition

That last joke was savage! xD I love Drew and no it's not fake! I can't say I know 100% sure because I don't know him personally, but there's just no way he's faking it. It's been years and he's made it so far. He stutters more on AGT because he's in front of millions! I'm in a band and the most I've played for is maybe somewhere around 50 or 60 people, including a representative from a major record label (Sumerian), and I stuttered a few times! That shit affects people.

This guy is truly funny. I voted for him too. I usually turn I blind eye to the sympathy thing when it comes to those shows because everybody wants a piece of the pie and everybody has a story. you either talented or not. I wish this guy the best of luck.

The reason his stutter sounds different than he does now is probably because he's nervous and trying not to stutter as much, which makes his voice sound strained.

She messed up at the beginning because she misunderstood and apologized for it. A lot of the jokes are very hard to translate so she has some trouble (therefore repeats vital information) too.

It's not fake . How to heck would be make up " I got hit with a softball when I was a kid and my vocal cord had gotten paralyzed " and it would be a world record for him to be faking a stutter since he was a child .. Also his doctor would probably tell the press or his parents it a fake if it was .. It gets worse because talking while stuttering is very hard because you talk really slow and it hurts to talk as much as he does because one of his vocals is paralyzed . Saying drew'a stutter is fake is like saying that to someone who's legs are paralyzed and they're in a wheelchair is fake . Use some knowledge

trapt81 I think she meant it sounded worse on AGT which is more recent. But I completely agree with Leah Harper that he was extremely nervous on AGT. That was a big crowd.

Stuttering can get worse the more nervous your are so Maybe he was a bit less nervous here than when he was on AGT where like millions of people are watching, it can affect your performance.
