Drew Timme had a dominant 2021 NCAA tournament, leading Gonzaga to the national championship game. The Bulldogs forward averaged 19 points a game, with a high of 30 points in the second round against Oklahoma. Watch his full March Madness highlights here.

In my opinion, Drew Timme shows promise. He brings me back to Ethan Happ when he played as a member of the Badgers in his playing style. Drew's relatively big for a post player, even if his skill level can seem mediocre at times. I can't even begin to explain his smarts on the court, which he displays with a remarkable amount of efficiency. Aside from these qualities, Timme has an enormous drive matched by a fierce competitive nature. He's likely to get to the second round. However, the field has some hidden gems too. Getting to know him came naturally to me because his high school played my high school, which we both share friends in common. My favorite memory of him was when he dropped buckets in style during basketball games. This time around, he's helping Gonzaga win once more. However, as long as he continues, he'll achieve even greater rewards.

Great analysis but I wouldn't say his all around skill level is mediocre, just his shooting is mediocre, especially from three point range. He has flashed a lot of modern big man skills that NBA bigs are expected to possess, such as the ability to handle the ball and push it in transition and his passing skills improved exponentially all throughout last year. He has a dominate old-school post game and some modern skills as well, just not the most important one he needs to be an everyday player in the NBA which would be the ability to shoot the three ball consistently. I've heard that he worked on his shooting a lot this off season again so maybe he'll flash that more this year and improve his draft stock, but otherwise he'll end up being a possible second round pick in next year's draft.

If you're a player, you never, ever think you're GOING to lose. The Zags were getting Baylor's bigs in foul trouble. I'm more than sure they thought they were gonna come back, and maybe Drew was trying to energize his teammates. Relax a bit.

Gonna most likely be preseason national player of the year. As a Zag fan, I do wish he'd celebrate less. But the confidence this kid plays with can't be taught, and that's a major positive. FINISH THE JOB NEXT SEASON, DREW!

@@unbiascowboy1537 He isn't too good for Baylor but his style of play doesn't fit there. He doesn't rotate well enough defensively to function in that Baylor defense and they would waste his talent offensively. At least this year they would have since they were so guard-oriented

He was better than any of the Baylor players they got throttled by Kansas in the regular season 😆

I suppose that's one way to look at it. On the other hand, Baylor beat Kansas handily in the first game. Kansas "throttled" Baylor in the second one after Baylor was out for three weeks with COVID issues. Yeah, Kansas beat Baylor at home, but Baylor couldn't practice for three weeks before then, and defensive rotation, the hallmark of Baylor's success, wasn't sharp at all. Once Baylor had a week off to practice defense before the NCAA tourney, they went back to their old form. They weren't ever even challenged by anyone in the tournament. I don't know if you noticed, but Timme shot 71% and only scored 12 points. He got just 7 shots the whole game vs. Baylor. If you can't get a shot off, you can't score. If you are your team's marquis player and you can only TAKE 7 shots in a game, you're just not that good.

Baylor shut him down pretty bad. I always knew baylor was the better team but I didn’t know Timme was that much of a fraud. Only true lottery pick on that team was Jalen suggs

@@tonycampbell4982 how are they a joke and they won the national championship? Come on man you’re smarter then that. I’m actually close to Baylor so let me tell you what actually happened. Everyone one on that team caught covid 19 and couldn’t practice for a month so they were out of shape. Even the Kansas coach told a reporter before the championship game Baylor would beat Gonzaga we just caught a break when they were recovering from covid.
