Cyrillic is a Macedonian alphabet, the Macedonians originally invented it for the slavs so that they protect against latin influence, the Bulgarians are claiming as theirs, but no it isn ' t.

@@jovan-noble-guy749 The Byzantine empire hired saints Cyril and Methodius to make an alphabet for the slavs to help integrate them into Greek society. When they realised that this was stupid they cut the funding. Saints Cyril and Methodius would invent the glagolithic alphabet. They were half greek half slav. After that they would move to Moravia. Where Methodius will become archbishop of Moravia. They had many students there and the holy books were translated using the glagolithic alphabet to the language of Moravia. After Methodius's death the Moravian church would be merged with the german church. The students of Cyril and Methodius were imprisoned or executed and all the texts they had written were burned. Meanwhile the han later prince of Bulgaria Boris the first converted the state into a Christian one. He was trying to find a way to get rid of the Byzantine influence on his church. So he bought the best students of saints Cyril and Methodius as slaves. When they arrived in Bulgaria they managed to recreate the work of their teachers, but they realised that the glagolithic alphabet wasn't fitting with old bulgarian which at that point was a slavic language mixed with a bit of bulgar. So they created the Cyrillic alphabet and translated the holy books in old bulgarian also known as old church Slavonic used to this day in the Bulgarian church ( i am not sure if the other slavic orthodox states still use an outdated language) you have to listen very carefully to the singing of the priests to understand it. Partly because they can't sing and partly because it is a language from the 9 century. Fun fact the church that Boris founded would become the ohrid Archdiocese under Vasil the bulgarslayer.

Hahaha the Phillipines sterotypes is actually true and accurate. Lot of cultures which make them unique . Trying to make friends with everyone. I know that feeling. By the way I’m something of a Filipino myself 04:55 Well France and Philippines haven’t interacted yet in the Countryballs and might join and come together. Franco Filipino frienship is underrated and they should have better relationship since they can’t get along with any other countries 🟦⬜️🟥🇨🇵🇵🇭 At least Phillipines, in my view, has the most beautiful South Asian Flag The Monkey Eagle is mssing on it Speaking of Tricolor flag. The Acadiana flag looks really similar to Filipino one

@@hmmkin6729 Norwegian king is step-cousin of the Danish Queen, and the Danish Queen's mother was Swedish. So the monarchies are pretty connected. Though it would be impossible to decide who should rule if anyone even should, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden would all say their monarchs should rule.

As a Norwegian, all I'll say for the Kalmar union 2.0 is: Absolutely not. Denmark and Sweden screwed us over the first time, and we're not letting them do so again. We're way better off without them. You know, as a resident and citizen of Russia, my government and the government of Ukraine frighten the hell out of me, since they will not go to victory and will not sign a peace treaty until they are satisfied, that is, Russia will not give back Crimea in life, perhaps it will give back the territories of Ukraine until 2022, but with very little probability, and Ukraine will not calm down until it returns everything that was taken from her. 5:00 man… the Philippines are just trying to survive but yet they are plagued with several terrorists groups to the south and poverty everywhere. I went there to visit my cousins once and I was in the highway. And we passed by a bunch of cardboard boxes with PEOPLE living in them. Whole neighborhoods were comprised of ppl living in boxes washing car windows of cars that were willing to stop. It’s just so sad

5:44 correction: in Cyrillic, that letter rrpresents the sound "v" for b, it is б, and the capital version of it is Б
