They were playing this song on last years tour, it was realeased as a download a few months ago, now we have the video. They do have another song in Japanese/English mix or just in English live or on the non Japanese ver of the last album, and that is "The One", which is basicly a love letter to the fans. You are starting to get to the point where you may have to start thinking about link/sinking your Babymetal videos, although are a still a few that you don't need to ie Road of Resistance. Also if you want to see them live they are in Glasgow, Cardiff, Manchester and London next February. One of the best discriptions I've ever heard to explain Babymetal is "They are like Hello Kitty, wearing Doc Maritins, smashing your head in with a baseball bat"

I was introduced to Babymetal by "ii ne" and shortly after that watched "ijime dame zettai". Seen them live 8 times, even flew to England for one show (Wembley 2016), but haven't seen them for a while now. There are a few similar bands who caught on the wave and I've mostly been following and still follow Ladybaby. So, just for the weirdness factor it would be great to see you react to "Ladybaby - Nippon Manju".

The Road of Resistance video live in Japan is THE one to watch as they just completed their 1st tour of the West in 2014 and returned to Japan as conquering heroes in January of 2015 and gave it their all with Kami Band in full flight. Worth mentioning is the motivation factor of that song. It has inspired people to make changes in their lives and chase their dreams. I started my own KZfaq channel and have done a few BABYMETAL themed videos as a tribute. The girl's success has shown that the impossible is possible if you try and go for it.

I wasn’t sure about pa pa ya at first but now it’s one of my favorites. Babymetal Death is fun. Not to spoil too much but a conversation between my daughter and her cousin when she started playing it was “This sounds like church music” Once the song gets going “oh...” I can’t wait for Babymetal in LA but my daughter and I are disappointed Babymetal Death appears to have been dropped.

I've been caught in the BM black hole since accidentally finding them back in late 2014(near Christmas). I spent the next 6 hours going all over the internet finding everything I could, from Doki Doki the tv school performance to Gimme Chocolate official vid. (Gimme Chocolate's chorus always takes me back to a child like Christmas feeling) Then bam in May 2015 came the Official Live in Japan Road of Resistance vid. OH MY BUDDA!!!!! Baby Metal, even when you mellow out and start doing other things in your life...they keep pulling you back. They are that snack..................you can't stop consuming......until the bag is empty. Why they sound similar to "Nyan Cat" in some places (as do various genres of both J-Pop and K-Pop girl groups) is because it's a key part of what the Japanese call 'Burikko ji" and the Korean's call "Aegyo" (behaving and talking like a child). If you listen to enough idol groups, whether pop, rap, metal or a combination thereof, you'll often hear the "nyan" sound in their voices. It's an Asian thing and common across the region.

They definitely heavied it up before releasing it as a single in May 2019. I think that improved it a lot. The song is about descending to Hell in an elevator, so another cute BABYMETAL song! : ) I like this one, but still prefer the part English/part Japanese version.

BABYMETAL - MEGITSUNE - Live (Makuhari Messe)

I certainly wouldn't be opposed to more Babymetal. ;) Pa Pa Ya!! can be a little repetitive, but it is a fun banger of a song and I think it will grow on you. It certainly has on many fans. Elevator Girl is lighter and, especially the English version, is probably their most radio-friendly song. Road of Resistance is power metal that will remind you of Iron Maiden and DragonForce, if you're familiar with them. Babymetal has such a wide variety of songs, there's bound to be some you love and it's okay if you don't like them all.

Really enjoying your reactions, I much prefer when reactors point out what was weak in what they saw, rather than just say everything is good cause they want my clicks. I am waiting with baited breath to witness the moment that Su catches you. We are all subjects of Su. But we are not a cult, no not a cult.

The song seems to have a darker approach to it, than the others. it's not uncommon that people like the more upbeat happier maybe faster paced songs. I liked the opening of the song, this stuff is fine by me as long as it's new. Don't expect every song to be a big hit.

I actually love PA PA YA!!! They combined Kawaii Metal and Thai Hip-Hop so effortlessly lol and their main video for PA PA YA!!! is better because the Thai Hip Hop aritst makes an appearance. and dude the shock value never gets old, all the ladies are over 18yo. but they still sound 12yo. - 14yo. lol

Hey Drew! Good reaction! Elevator Girl in my opinion is one of their weaker songs, but that's the great thing about BABYMETAL. You can ask 5 different hardcore BABYMETAL fans what their favorite songs are and they will all come up with different lists because the songs are so varied. Not like most bands which have obvious best songs. Can't wait to see your Road of Resistance reaction, and yeah be careful with the new material because Amuse will absolutely block it, the older stuff should be fine though.

In regards to your comments on Papaya the film clip live version is better than the dud crowd Glastonbury one. You'll find that that Papaya background voice ends up being done by the crowd at their live gigs so it sounds better and helps create the audience participation.

As others have already written, there are some songs and videos that are soooo much better (I love Elevator girl, but I do prefer the japanese version). If you are interested in the band, watch "Rondo of Nightmare (with mischief of the gods)". "Road to Resistance" and "The one" are probably some of the best songs they have. And if you want to hear them in a completely different style of music which is rather out there for them you should listen to "From Dusk Till Dawn". That one doesn't have a video and was only performed once live though. But that also sounds really interesting imo, just because it's not in their "normal" style (if you can even call what they do a single style).

Man if you think Karate's the best you are in for a ton of good surprises going forward. I mean if you liked Karate you should try the Live at Download 2016 version :D

I prefer the Japanese versions of their songs to the English ones even though I speak English and not Japanese. For some reason I just feel like the Japanese versions flow better and sound cooler. The fact that I dont understand what they are saying actually makes it cooler to me.

Great reaction. I personally like the Japanese version of this song. BABYMETAL always try to stay out of the typical Metal mold, trying to do things differently. Sometimes good, sometimes not. Their song list for their new album, Metal Galaxy, looks/feels like Kobametal is experimenting again. I feel we, "The One", will need to keep an open mind...very open on how the band is moving forward into the future. Just my opinion...

The point of Babymetal is variety. And your comparing Su's legitimate soprano voice to a synthesized cat is so disrespectful that I had to give you a thumbs down. I'm getting really tired of the people who think death vocals involve talent, who don't understand the talent it takes to SING, squawking on how Su's vocal's are unappealing. Granted, the studio versions of Babymetal's songs emphasize the youthful nature of the group, but it is obvious in the Live versions the amount of talent she has and how PERFECTLY she fronts this group. It's ok that you don't understand it, but you got to stop being disrespectful.

I'v only heard that song 4 times. Its growing on me each time but its a bit too pop to be a Babymetal classic. This is the problem the band face as the girls get older. They are starting to look like they are comfortable on stage which is fair enough because they have earned it but its hard to see them pulling off the Babymetal thing in their mid 20s without drastic changes. I think the initial shock of seeing three mid teens with squeeky little voices fronting a full on metal band and bossing a 20.000 strong crowd was over powering for most of us fans. Keeping the momentum going will be the tricky bit.

I actually loved pa pa ya, a little more than this one, and I like this one. But hey different strokes and all that

I really really don't like the English version of this song. The only good thing about this song was it's Japanese powerful chorus. Now that that's replaced...yeah. I'll stick to Japanese.

The song is slowly growing on me, but to me it's still one of their weakest ones (fortunately, the weakest BABYMETAL song is still pretty good). Recommending the best songs is a little difficult, because some of the most awesome videos are going to get you blocked or worse. Some reactors resort to Link&Sync, meaning you drop the original audio completely (and perhaps the video as well) and give us a link to sync up with you. Most BM reaction fans are used to it, but not everyone likes it. Personally, I don't mind. But it does open up access to some phenomenal clips, which is worth it in my opinion.

This also wasn't the best version. The Japanese version fits the rhythm much better than this, the chorus is a little scuffed in the English version. It also has a different meaning than the original Some songs I do recommend however are Shanti Shanti Shanti, Distortion and Syncopation.
