Hi Chris, Really sorry I missed the stream. It looks like you have every available factor well tunable which is seriously cool. Would you agree it seems that production increases not only with the peak amplitude of the step charge but also during gated time. In fact it appears that denying the relaxation prevents that water cap discharging through the water? I must ask why you're using transformers as chokes? wouldn't more capacitive bifilar wound chokes and secondary add to the water cap 'Q' being discharged during gate time?

Thanks Scott! Yea i've worked a long time to get this level of selectivity. I'm using these transformers because they kinda work, and show the effects Stan describes. It helps to show people that off the shelf components can work pretty well. Come ask this question on Discord! 😉

"In fact it appears that denying the relaxation prevents that water cap discharging through the water? " - Correct! It is literally having a variable control of the RC time constants. There is always an opposite discharge arc, albeit very small on a very low capacitance. Using more tubes in parallel promotes a longer discharge arc. So, when you now, turn it back on before that discharge arc can fully dissipate, the amplitude isn't allowed to return to zero, and thus what would originally be the first pulse amplitude at the start, now has the boosted amplitude (increased biased reference, or Vbase) and can step a little higher than it would have during the very first pulse train applied. One would then immediately think, that's the secret to keeping the charge going up and up and up :) However, this has a limit (as you see in the vid) and that limit is "as high as the components will allow" 💪
