Dr. Grace Lee you really know how the communication transpire between people. Being soft spoken is always understood as timid or surrendering everything (easily sway, weak, accepting fault/mistakes etc.). Being polite is always understood by others as afraid or giving up your principles in life. But being firm is always neglected by some people, whom I think, taking advantage of the situation. Others thought that this is weakness, but I would say that wait very soon things will come after you and don't underestimate people who has this kind of characteristics.
