Self-confidence is a result, not a cause, and we cannot trick ourselves into feeling it. Affirmations are a very useful starting point and serve as a great reminder of what we are trying to accomplish, but you must put action behind it. We must remember that God designed us to be fruitful, so the feeling we are trying to achieve by gaining self-confidence is definitely within our reach. Dr. Cloud brings it back to original sin, and the idea that we can judge as God does. Self-confidence comes from practice in the absence of judgment. When a baby begins to take his first steps, even if he stumbles over he is met with cheers to encourage him to continue to grow. When you’re self-confident, you’re never thinking about self-confidence. We should live in the experience of what we're trying to do instead of worrying about how well we're doing it.

I love how babies enjoy falling down and getting back up BECAUSE they are being praised and applauded. Let's do that for OURSELVES...praise and applaud all of our attempts!!!

That's the answer! The ABSENCE OF JUDGMENT!!! Practicing millions of times, all the while criticizing your every mistake, will cripple you. NO MORE JUDGMENT!!! Thank you, Dr. Cloud!!!

Criticism, seeing what is good and bad, judging and analyzing goes as you stop evaluating yourself. Apply grace and mercy through the learning process with encouragement through practice in the zone using your imagination!

🧠🤯 Wow Dr. Cloud 😳 THIS IS A MESSAGE 🙌 I Thought U Were Going To Say "Take Action". U Said You And Your Family Show Appreciation To Each Other In Words. My Maternal Grandpa, Dad (Parents Divorced) And Maternal Grandma Are Critical, Especially My Maternal Grandma And That Has Trickled Down Within The Family. My Grandpa Was A Pastor. Growing Up In A Family That Has A Church You Feel Like You Are Living Under A Microscope 🔬. I Was Constantly Hearing Preaching And It Made Not Want To 'Mess Up' Because Everyone Is Watching And Judging 🧐. My Grandma Doesn't Want To Be Embarrassed. Trying Wasn't Encouraged. THIS Has Changed My Mind And Will Change My Life. Thank You!!! I Will Keep Watching This Video To Remind Myself. When I Have My Own Family One Day I Will Pass This Message Along 😊 THANK YOU $tay Blessed 🙏

yes! Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free! “Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died - more than that, who was raised to life - is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” May I suggest that you listen to Dan Mohler, Graham Cooke, or Andrew Wommack if you want encouragement. God bless you.

Thank you for sharing this! What an intriguing perspective about “becoming like God” is akin to becoming a judge. I had never considered that before and yet it makes a lot of sense to me. Thank you! I also appreciate your tangible examples of a kid and an athlete.
