Easy to follow recipe video on how to make easy and delicious potato scallops. These are a classic and nostalgic treat here in Australia, usually purchased at the takeaway counter. But this video shows how to make the best potato scallops, or potato cakes (if you want to name them incorrectly), ever!!

Cakes! I grew up in Victoria and they were cakes to us.....I'll have to make these for my kids to show them what I spent my 20 cents pocket money on when I walked home from school. They were 5 cents each. Mum always used to shout at me if I didn't eat my dinner. Have you been eating those bloody potato cakes again! I live in the UK now. Thanks for posting the video. I'm sure they'll bring back the memories.

I have lived in NSW for the last 24 years, but as a former Victorian, calling them potato cakes still slips out occasionally while ordering them😂😂😂😂 I guess old habits die hard😂, have a great weekend mate🍻🍻 ps, these look delicious 😋😋

In Scotland, we call them Potato Fritters, you can buy them in the fish and chip shops here. They look fabulous, I love them with salt and vinegar on them. Sometimes we have them inside a roll. Thank you for sharing.

They ARE called POTATO cakes!! Called them that since I was a toddler in Victoria and I talking from the mid 50's onwards. And they don't have to be crunchy. The fish & chip man would always ask us "Soft or crunchy?". The choice is yours. Also, tell the people that the spices are personal preference and not traditional.
