This reminds me of a craft project from my child hood using the wax paper and iron. We'd spread crayon shavings from the Crayola crayon box between wax paper and iron until melted & fused together. Then we'd cut shapes of butterfly's, leaves, dragonflys, flowers etc out. With today's dies - that craft project just might need a re-visit!

Mare MaGoo i remember doing that too... man did i get in truble once for over loading my crayon sammich and making mess on the bottom of mt moms iron... the iron cleaned up fairly easy... it was my dads uniform shirt that didnt survive...guess i should of told someone of the mess i made before stowing it back unannounced to anyone... kids gotta live em! LoL

This idea takes me make to high school when we collected as many wildflowers as we could find (over 100 varieties) and I used this method to dry them then mounted them on individual sheets of poster board with their scientific name printed on it... I still have them 40 years later... I'll look forward to the next video with ideas of what to do with the dried elements... Thanks for sharing!

From now on, when feeling impatient or I need it right away, I will have a way to get it done. Hi Nina! i just finished watching this video. I'm as impatient as you, so I'm going to give it try!. i've got similar leaves here in the Basque Country and last Saturday i picked a bunch of short branches of divers colors and shapes to eco dye. After making floral arrangement to put on a vase , I also left some of leaves and little branches to dry. They did naturally, but schrank. I'm trying to do what you did in your last Sunday's video. thumbs up! Hugs

Love what you have collected and I will be trying out your way to secure the dried sprigs onto card (part 2 video). I have an even quicker method that may be of interest - it's a Microfleur microwave flower press. I did some lavender sprigs taking 30-60 seconds! The original Microfleur is still available but expensive nowadays. I see there are cheaper options but no idea how effective they are. Love all your videos.
