One thing about Yamaha and Honda, when you are stuck you are stuck. I had a Polaris, pice of junk, whenever I thought I was stuck I tried to get out, and I was out. I loved the Polaris because you can go anywhere.

We were doing this yesterday with a Grizzly & an Argo in snow up to 5 ft got stuck same time all day what a blast .Caution on the Grizz check to see if the rear brake drum is`nt frozen before taking off next time we found out the hard way once on a Quad master 500 the water froze in the drum and broke off the axle when we took off did`nt realize it had a drain plug .

What are u talking about? grizzly can be in 2x4 or all wheel drive and diff lock...diff lock all four wheels are locked up. with a grizzly the rider has the option not a computer doing it for u.

wow. imagine if you guys had a quad like a xmr, with 30 inch tires or something similar. say a quad with larger tires in general. this whole snow deal would not even be a issue or challenge. The snow is not deep enough to even think about.

xmr yeah right had the 2012 xmr800 for 2 months and snapped the front axle and front drive shaft . you have a 800lb machine with 30in tires with 70hp but put little cheap axles and drive shafts in it, FAIL! , yeah I could have upgraded to the gorilla axle but why should I when you pay $14,000 for a ATV it should of came with it. Thats it! thanks

chad mabe With that weight and large tires with alot of torque and air suspension some times you have to be the smart one with the throttle and back off some times. I snapped 2 front axles, but only in the winter playing in the snow stuck, or almost stuck with the air suspension cranked. If you put too strong of a axle in it just transfers the damage somewhere else on the drive train such as the front diff which is mega expensive. A guy doesn't have to pin it all the time to go everywhere with large tires lol. oh well, they should of warrantied your axle and if you can't afford to fix the quad u paid 14k quad (I paid 15.3k for mine before tax) then could u really afford to buy it in the first place?

Calculatedrisk262 27-28 mudzilla on a grizzly is more than enough the weight of the xmr will make it stuck more often anyways... btw ive seen a 650 for mud get stuck in middle of nowhere they needed a truck to get it out... the 650 is the perfect for snow it light as a grizzly and more powerfull but reliability is good but i think they are not build to live 20 years ive seen a grizzly with 55k km
