sorry to disagree but in this case the more pvc touching the ground the less traction you have because it takes the weight off of it, just like car tires in snow. but with real tires on pavement you would be right the more tire on the ground, the more traction.

+CoreyCantEdit You can get different results on different trikes. I got three trikes with different size PVC. On my Custom "Low Baller"I run a pretty wide rear axle on a long trike and use 3.5" PVC on the rear for a nice controllable slide. My Razor (first trike i bought) i run a 6" pvc to get the same feel because the rear axle is narrow and the frame is shorter. It is true if i run 6" on the "Low Baller" it gets pretty loose on the back end.

depends what you want to run. you can use dolly wheels (like in the video) which can be purchased at your local hardwear store, these cost about 15-20$CND a tire. or you could do the more expensive option with gokart wheels and a live axel (source out on the internet)

+george thepig I bought mine from homedepot. But you can find them at almost any hardware store (Canadian tire, lowes, home hardware) and the wheels I use are 10 inch. Hope that helps.

I mention it in the video but you can buy pre cut sleeves online. But where i get mine is from constriction sites. I work construction so its a little easier for me to get the piping for these sleeves. But google "PVC sleeves for drift trike", I'm sure somthing will come up.

Im fairly sure I mentioned it in the video. Anyways I used skate board grip tape and placed it on the inside of the PVC. Next, with the tire deflated slide/ centre the PVC on the wheel than inflate. I hope this answers your question. Thanks.
