Back in my day our mw2 nvg were green and you'd run into crap because the depth perception was off.

When Drift0r picked up and said they had weight to them, did anyone else hear gennaro's voice, "Are they heavy? Then there expensive, put them down."

I got the prestige edition of Modern Warfare 2, and the night vision goggles in that set work pretty well, even though technically it was a monocle that split the image into two screens. Therefore, depth perception suffered, but you couldn't see the IR LEDs on the low setting. You could however see them when it is set to High

When those red lights are seen in the dark, I imagine to someone else it looks like a viscous predator coming for you in the dark lol.

When he says mentions the infrareds as tiny little red lights, he refers to their visibility. You can barely see infrared in real life with the naked eye. The camera simply perceives differently.

Lol, those NVG's are simple af. You can use your phone camera as a Night Vision setup. All you need is an Infared torch which shines light not visible to the human eye, but visible to the camera..

Cool I remember the NVG from MW2 collectors edition! And still have it!

Those do look decent for a cheap pre order add on. I have real night vision and they don’t give off any light and they don’t flair up like that when you shine a light or they get real daylight. Like night vision just isn’t fair tag on a ir laser or flashlight game over. Those are still cool for a toy though better than I thought I’d say

fun fact about actual NVGs, they are also technically a "camera" since you aren't looking straight through and it's actually a little screen that is projected in front of your eyes

This is nothing like the real NVGs 😂

They should technically be referred to as NODS not NVGs. NVGs is a term for something like this where since it’s fake there isn’t actually a NOD in the lens to prevent damage to the optic. That piece of kit is known as Quad Tube Nods or GPNVGs and run about 43K in real life
