Welded diff, stiffer suspension and you're good.

02 chubs Welded is for drifting, open is for daily use.

The trick to getting these cars sideways is to have some Balls.

@@02chubs28 open diff is the worst. Welded is awesome for skids but adds some chirping sounds to your tight turns from the inside tire over spinning. LSD is goat for a daily+drifter because it allows for normal driving to be firm and controlled, but both rear wheels will break loose if you give it the juice

Just test e and a lil 1-andro if that's what gear you mean

St as Car has a handbrake now! This was only my 2nd or 3rd time drifting on track. All in all I did 5 events this year. Yes stock auto, 4 speed but I keep it locked in 2nd except for the straightaways.

Hey Anton! Those were the only mods. With the eBay arms (toe, camber, and traction) the car had -4* of camber. I ran lots of different tires from 215 to 245 without issues.

Not much building to do on the 1uz-fe, they're pretty tanky engines and a common swap into a 240sx for drifting. Not much aftermarket either. Although if you do want to add a power adder (supercharged/turbo) I believe the 1st gen Ls400s have what's called "strong rod 1uz" the rods are much thicker than the later model 1uz-fes. Really the easiest route with these engines is a supercharger. If you want to "build" your engine get a 1jz or 2jz.

Oh yeah, my 180k 1990 ls400 will sling ass real easy. Buy one, weld diff, send it. Just watch out for trans issues on higher mileage cars. 👍👍

No, drifting isn't typically allowed at TMP. If you'd like to attend a drifting day follow TOPP Drift (events at Grand Bend and TMP), Ottawa Drift Club (Calabogie), or Drift Jam for dates and registration! 👍

@The Stigs Romanian Cousin I had a very difficult time finding my 93 that's lower miles all original..near mint....It's actually old enough for historical plates...I think as more get trashed the good ones will climb in value....

@The Stigs Romanian Cousin best scenario is to have two...one to have fun with and one for just cruising and collecting.....I'm older...55...I seen so many all original GTOs and other 60s musclcars beat up and ruined cuz back in 80s nobody thought they would go up in value..lol
