My son is a army pilot and was in Kabul and I thought I’d die of fear and worry! But thank God he made it home. Plus I’ve been an Army wife for 20 years to an Army infantry soldier… it’s a very difficult life but oh the homecomings are wonderful!

This has me in tears. I'm a UK army veteran and come from a long line of military family. I,m so glad that we were ale to travel with my dad throughout his 25 years in the army. However it was traumatic leaving friends behind when he was posted. I was serving during the Irish conflict and sadly lost my brother a marine commando during the Falklands conflict in a horrible accident. The picture of the coffin did it for me as I couldn't attend my brothers funeral and he was buried at sea. I recently managed to give the flag draped on his coffin to his daughter who was just a baby when he died. Lots of happy memories though, thankfully.

75th Regiment 3rd Ranger Battalion here. ... The emotional psychological and physical damage that soldiers have to endure is unfortunately sometimes part of the price of freedom. I haven't been normal or right I guess you could say... For a very long time. Certain experiences will do that. But I wouldn't trade it for anything. Because with damage... They're also comes a type of strength and wisdom that cannot be measured. 🫡🇺🇸

Men and women of all branches by my side are my kin. Because we fight not for how much we hate what's infront of us but because of how deeply we love what stands behind us. We are the in between. Why bring race into it. Race is nothing but a created facade to demoralize and divide people. End of the day whoever stands infront of ne with a desire to hurt what's behind me and my brothers in arms is the enemy. Foreign or domestic doesn't matter. We took an oath to protect the people of this country against ALL enemies. Race has nothing to do with it. Nor does religious creed.

I spent 22 years in the military. I had the privilege and the honor of being a Ranger for more than 2/3 of that time. And I pushed myself to what I thought were my limits; and I found out countless times that there is no limit to that level of service, or that kind of a privilege... And I found that there are no limits to what I would do for every single person that I stood beside. Every patch, every pin and every medal... They hold within them some of the most beautiful and tragic successes and events. I also learned and I hold this lesson very near and dear to my heart and I teach my children this... The only failure... Is when you give up on yourself... And those that need and count on you. Upon completion of my third and final tour... I had my resolve and strengths put to the test when I got off the bus in my town. I was expecting to see my wife and daughters. But there was nobody there. Not going to get into all of that at 2 am. I'd rather not relive it. But I can tell any of you reading this right now, without hesitation or doubt, that the lessons and strengths learned throughout my entire military career have kept me alive, refusing to submit or cave in to the self-destructive thoughts and whatnot that have plagued me since I got back. Having a career in any branch of the military will change you at your very core. Both during any time away from what you know as normal in your life... Throughout all of your training... Every moment of any deployments... and after. The strength that orscheln to me that reside within me... I owe that to everybody I've encountered throughout my career. Some of the hell that I've experienced since I've been back... Making it through losing my family making it through several years of a heinous drug addiction... Without the strength within, I KNOW I would be dead. Part of a tragic statistic. This video was put together beautifully. My shit was together until I heard that bugle. 😭 I'm not too proud and I'm not too much of a man to admit that a couple seconds after that vehicle started... The tears were just pouring down both sides of my face. To any of you the don't understand why just hearing that bugle mixed in with all of that had that kind of an effect on me and certainly many others... I envy you. Hearing certain things such as that fill my very essence with such pride and hope... A reminder of the absolutely unshakable unbreakable bond between men and women who walk through the fires of hell side-by-side... It is a representation of the camaraderie... The laughter... Immeasurable strength... And tragically it's also a very poignant reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by so many men and women... It's the sound of widows and children crying... Fear of the unknown... The red white and blue flying through the wind...and watching as its folded during countless funeral processions... ... It's the sound of what it has always taken and always will take. 🫡 T. G. W. 2nd Lt. 75th Regiment 3rd Ranger Battalion Delta Sua Sponte, Hooah🫡

I got my honorable discharge about 7 years ago. Three tours of duty in Afghanistan. I had the most amazing military career and the people that I met the brothers and sisters it's just.. I can't even put it into words. I just happened to stumble across this... And when I heard the bugle... It was too much 😭🫡🇺🇸 ... But I listened to the whole thing. And I must say that this was done very very very well. Just the way all of the instruments were pieced together based on what the drill sergeant is specifically talking about. The imagery goes very well with it as well. I haven't had any kind of tears in my eyes over what we did over there experienced the people that we lost the people that were saved... Just all of it kind of got shifted around in my mind heart and soul so that I can live my life. And don't get me wrong there's what feels like a rapper bowl emotional and psychological damage that was done from being over there but I wouldn't trade it for the fucking world I really wouldn't... ... It can be difficult at times to hear certain things played by a bugle. And that was one of them. Did anybody reading this...hug your parents hug your children...because someday...this all ends. And trust me when I tell you it could come quickly and unexpectedly. For you and those that you love. Don't have regrets because you didn't speak when you had the chance. 🇺🇸

i love this stuff. some of my most hair raising times were when when we marched into auditoriums where the footstomps and cadence echoed... I think mine was marching into pldc graduation auditorium and we were rocking " Johnny comes marching home" so hard. There is nothing more glorious than a brigade marching in cadence with purpose. Drill sergeants were awesome, but when your in a unit long enough you always find one fella who can rock cadence.

Thank you America for at least trying to make the world a better place. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your great support to Ukrain.

From America "we love you". In a way Ukraine is really "fighting for the world" to stop evil in it's tracks in the form of "one man". The Russian population who support their leader, it's because they have been given so many "mis-truths". Admittedly I am not an authority on the ordinary Russian citizen but the little I know suggests that once they "know they do know the truth"...they support it...albeit "very carefully".

If people studied WW2 history, they would have a totally different understanding of signing up to protect the constitution. As a former active duty United States Marine, I could only imagine fighting in the Pacific Theater especially becoming a POW under the Japanese from 1939 -1945.
