I was working Geophysical in Chad in the mid 90's for Western Geophysical. We had a Mayhew 1000 mounted on a 6 X 6 Buggy called AMV ( Company Manufactured ). There was an American named Ron Watson who was smooth as any driller I had ever seen. They even cored 1000 ft. Holes for Exxon while we were there. I lost touch with everyone since but the rig made me think of Ron. Cheers !

The hose likes jamming up top. Yous worked it out in the end. Must of been some water pressure in hole to come out screw plug. Never worked on a Mayhew, abit like the bourne 1000. Bought back some memories.
