I was in the Army for twelve years with three tours to Afghanistan, my brother and I never drank, but ASAP and the Class Six were always full. And you are right, the Hulk and Long Island Tea were two of the drinks of choice for most of the battles that I deedeed for.

I never drank a day in my life, but I must say that I have learned a lot, the aging of VS, VSOP, and XO cognacs, the origin of the word cognac, and the type of white grapes are used for cognacs. And to think I stumbled on this channel after searching for the origin of Hennessy. What an honor to be here, I look forward to coming back. Question: Are there any books you can recommend for further learning about cognacs? Thank you.

Im loving Claude chattlier vs at the moment. Only 20 bucks at trader Joe's in California. I would describe it as a vanilla forward cognac. Give it a try.

The reason stills are made from copper is because that metal absorbs sulfides out of the alcohol. Resulting in a smoother finished product.

cognac is the only liquor i haven't enjoyed and don't drink so figured i would learn more made from grapes that don't make good wine and not aged as long as scotch and not really even blended that makes sense.

Word Hennessey is dogwater. I like Remy Martin, but there's so many brands I haven't tried. Hine and Meukow are decent. I haven't tried Martell or Courvoisier yet but they look good.
