But Kate is with Chris (Ron Livingston), and Luke is with Jill (Anna Kendrick). Jill wants to know if Luke is ready to talk about marriage. The answer to that question becomes crystal clear when Luke and Kate unexpectedly find themselves alone for a weekend. This is a solid, well-acted slice of life romantic comedy. Maybe a little too subtle for your average dumbass.

i watched it for jake, stayed for the story. when you fall in love with a friend who is already in love, what do you do? Do you back out or pursue? What happens when they find out about your feelings? This is movie doesn't follow cliched hollywood ending. The ending is absolutely beautiful.

On the cover for the movie, Jake Johnson's character doesn't have a beard, but has one for the entire movie. I don't know if anyone else noticed that but it's pretty stupid.

I thought I had seen something like this before starring Mark Ruffalo. Each person has an affair with the person from the other couple. People get hurt, things are never the same.

Yea, it's often the case with indie films that they'll make the movie but it won't get released right away. When it eventually does get picked up for release they'll get the actors back to do production photos (for posters and DVD covers) but sometimes they've changed their appearance for another project and there's nothing they can do about it. For all the production photos for the new season of Arrested Development Jason Bateman had super short hair even though he didn't in the series.

Brilliant movie, the fact that all the characters are making up their lines as they go is incredibly impressive, and it makes the film so real and easy to watch. Maybe it's an exaggeration, but I'm going to go ahead and say that Jake Johnson and Olivia Wilde provided possibly the two best acting performances I've EVER seen.

I loved this movie...I mean this to me didn't feel like I was watching a movie,but rather a video of friends telling their stories. It reminded me how my wife and I were at first when we were just friends at first but we always felt that connection and attraction towards each other something that became more than just love.

What a good movie. It's refreshing to see a movie that does not go the cliche hollywood route and actually seems like it can be more realistic. Those awkward moments with your female best friends are real and it doesn't always have some fairytale romance ending. The movie kept a smile on my face almost the whole time and Jake and Olivia's chemistry was spot on.
