Dee, it's great to embrace culture and act accordingly while in environments you're required to but careful not to covenant yourself with things in the name of embracing cultures/ traditions you don't understand. The bangle he handed you & mentioned 'this is the spirit of our ancestors' could be a good gift but please please question everything dear! Not every 'gift' is a gift. Remember: It's not just a drink, it's not a gift... If you're a believer you could receive everything with thanksgiving by praying over them BUT not accursed things. Otherwise, be protected and all the best in your travels. ***You can respect people's culture without indulging in it.

Dee, with organic chicken, there is very little fat in the skin. Hence, the skin gives it a lot of flavour when cooked. Trust me. I like the way you burn down the little feathers on the chicken as even this gives the chicken more organic flavour. This is a very West African way of cleaning chicken as part of the second stage of cleaning.😅😅😊😊❤

Hi Dee My name is Kelly Hunter I am a Indigenous First Nation I come from the Plains Cree tribe I live in Alberta Canada and I live on the Whitefish Lake Band #128 Reservation Most of what this guy has said I’ve never heard of with my ancestors like drinking rum with a snake in it I also don’t thinkbhe really is a Chief because you have to be a First Nation person to be a Chief and also be a First Nation person to have the privilege to wear what we call a head dress made from Eagle feathers Also my ancestors never did have Rum back in the day So ya very interesting blog

When he says First Nation, he means Caribs and Arawaks. They lived in the Caribbean first. Google Caribs and Arawaks of the Caribbean. Also people in the Philippines drink Snake wine. Not rum but snake wine.

Also, he is of mixed ancestry, but he hold onto, honors and celebrates his Amerindian ancestry. The first people in Trinidad are small in number and some noticeably mixed, but they know their heritage and celebrate it. He and his community is well know by us Trinidadians.
